I have one question, time people survive. Only eat the vegetable like the blackening, kale, grass, grass. So just to confirm your question is about vegetables? Yeah, people, people, can people survive while well, only eat the vegetable, greenening, vegetable and vegetable with all the green. Right, I think she wants to know if people can survive on leafy green vegetables without green without green. Yeah, without brains. Yes,
like the rice, like a bread. Okay, I think I understand what you mean. Well, green leafy vegetables are just amazing. It's recently full of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, polyphenols. They're wonderful. One thing they don't have much of is calories. And we do need calories, too. And it is some people say, well, why don't you get your calcium from green leafy vegetables? Well, I told them how
much of kale you would need to eat in order to get your calcium for a day. And it's more than a five gallon bucket of kale. I think that there's no way you can get enough calcium. And they're not going to be a lot of calcium from green leafy vegetables. The vitamins and minerals are great. That they're also necessary essential fatty acids, like alpha-linolenic acid, the
omega-3. And while green leafy vegetables have a tiny amount, it's not sufficient for us. So, we're going to need to add some nuts and seeds to that for that type of nutrients. And that's what's also while they're high in carotenoids that may some of them be carotenoids that conform vitamin A. They have very low vitamin E levels close to zero. And there are other nutrients that
they don't have much of. So, just one food group, it's pretty hard to stay healthy and alive. In my dietary analysis tool, I have a one food button. And you can choose to choose a say kale and push the one food button. It will simulate a diet where someone eats it. It only kale 2000 calories a day, which is, as I said, over five gallons of
the stuff. And you can see that you're not going to get enough of many nutrients and too much of others. If you really only ate 2000 calories of kale, you get way too much protein. It's not funny. Thank you very much for your question. It's fascinating. Steve, thank you very much. And we have another question now. And this one's coming in from Wendelin. Wendelin, I'm unmuting
you now. Hi, Wendelin. Thank you. As far as that, our alpha to cough are all what type of I don't know. You know, a name brand anything because we were trying to look it up online. And is I don't know. It's a little difficult because it keeps coming up as the delta to cover up. Right. Oh, yeah. It's difficult. All right. I know only two manufacturers
in the US who even make the stuff and they don't sell to customers so much. They, you know, I've gone to different manufacturing labs for my brain and body food and said, can you make it? And they say, no, we can't get that. We don't get real vitamin E because it costs vastly more than the other one. And let's face it, most vitamins are made for
profit. So if you can find one that says our, our alpha to cough are all on it. And you know, you have the right vitamin E, but it is the quantity right because sometimes they'll be giving you five milligrams or something. And the minimum daily allowance is 15 milligrams, but that's absolutely for minimum health. That's established so your red blood cells don't explode from lack of
vitamin E. We certainly need more for optimal health and to protect our brain, something the order of 400 milligrams a day. So the brain and body food that I make, I get the real vitamin E. And if you can find it somewhere else, good luck. It's really hard to find. I don't know of a brand that sells it because of this cost problem. Thank you so
much for that. And that's the questions we have for now. We might see another one come in. I am so curious. How did you initially get into this as a, as a practice? I mean, what was it that made you realize that that this was the path you needed to go down? What was missing that you saw? Well, it all started actually in 1970 when I
made a batch of chicken cacciatory soup. And I guess I didn't reheat it enough because I got food poisoning and went to the hospital where they told me that if you don't reheat animal products enough, you could die. And at that point, I decided to become a vegetarian. So for 51 years, I've been plant-based. During that time, I've explored, as you mentioned, my degrees, two doctorates,
I have a master's as well. And I've studied and studied and found out more about this. It is fascinating, isn't it? And also, I want to mention that what's missing in modern medicine, as far as I can see, is a look at what's causing the disease and how to prevent the disease with dietary and other lifestyle methods, rather than waiting for the disease to get really
bad, than using drugs and surgery to try and save people, which is also a lot. It's a lot of a goal, but it wouldn't be nice to start before people got the disease. And that's in my focus. I've also focused on the nonprofitable aspects of medicine. And that means I'm looking at things that can't be patented. None of the things in our Hawaii Dementia Prevention Trial
can be patented. They're all available over the counter. You can do it yourself. You don't have to pay me anything. And you can enjoy getting your brain healthy. All of them are safe. Many studies have proven that there's safe. I mentioned a couple of drug interactions. And of course, you can go overboard with almost anything. But I do strive for the safest possible solutions. Thank you.
Steve, I have, I see another question coming in and we'll get to that. I'm real curious as a follow up to what you just said around people getting to the bottom of it, to the real cause of all of this. Why do you think this is that the focus has not been there? Well, I don't really want to say that it might be related to a
profit motive. Certainly a doctor in 15 minutes, which includes reading the medical record, talking to the patient, writing a medical record, doesn't have time usually to counsel in these areas of diet and lifestyle. I think many doctors would agree with me that they'd like more time to be able to do that. Also, there's a matter of training. And there've been studies on this that doctors aren't
really properly trained for lifestyle adjustments, especially diet. And so a lot of good doctors will team up with dietitians. And the dietitians will help fill in that. Unfortunately, dietitians may not be fully trained in nutrition. And part of that's a problem with the sponsors, the American Dietetic Association, like Pepsi, so on. So there are many reasons coalescing on why medical therapy often does not really help
so much with preventing their wizards at cheering us when we're sick. Thank you.
