got child euthanasia I can't even believe I'm putting that phrase together but euthanasia for young people as as young as 14 Act is exploring that and of course once you get a jurisdiction across that line it'll be mirrored around the country what's your thoughts oh well profoundly disturbed by this we we know that voluntary assisted dying is about as controversial an issue as you can get
and at the at the very least it needs to be handled very carefully very respectfully but the ACT government just has this pattern of always having to go the extra mile always having to push the envelope always having to grab more power under legislation we've seen it with the Takeover of the hospital in Canberra and here they go again uh upsetting what's already a very sensitive
issue and I mean this in particular this idea that the state can essentially push parents aside we're seeing that again and again somehow parents are just by standards while critical decisions are being made about children and you couldn't get a more critical decision than this one I just really don't know what they're up to and I'm profoundly horrified I must say by this proposal and what
is already a field that has many people very worried and look I have to say if you look at the Netherlands kids with mental illness they do not have to be terminally ill can certainly apply to take their own life and we have seen it happen in the past
