So I was looking for driftwood in the creek just now. I was just moving sand around and seeing what would come up. And this little piece right here was sticking up out of sand. It was up about sticking up about here, just this little barb. And I could see that it was worn really nice. So I very carefully, I started pulling the sand away. And just
moving the sand because I had a feeling I had something nice there and I wasn't sure. And it took 20 minutes of clearing. And I just heard an animal snort. What if there's a bear nearby? What that was. After 20 minutes of clearing and very carefully vibrating the piece of wood, the sand started breaking free. And this is what I got. It weighs probably seven or
eight pounds wet, man. What the hell? What's that noise over there? Maybe someone's just running a drill or something over there and sounds like an animal snorting. Like a freaking bowl. I don't know what that is. Anyway. So I'm just so excited to a found this because it is. I can't wait to see when it dries. It's going to be so beautiful. Let me give you
an example of when they're dry. This was one of the first ones I ever found actually. Huge. This has got to be what about three feet, three and a half feet long there. And it's just a little bit of a texture and worn and beautiful. I'd love to get it lacquered. I haven't done that yet. It's actually wearing out here outside. And I should probably get
it. Get some nice wood oil put on it and stuff to preserve that finish. This one's probably going to need some kind of a finish on it too, you know, a gloss. Something to preserve the wood and that beautiful tone. But no telling how old something like this is, you know, buried under the sand and getting ground down into this beautiful shape. The lighting is terrible,
but you get you a little bit of a more of the definition of this thing. You know, it reminds me of a dragon. I've got a wooden carved dragon. And it's very similar with the carving. It's going in it to this. It's in California right now. Really pretty though home. Auto brightness. That's working for us. Oh yeah. All right. We'll see what it looks like when
it dries.
