Building in the Antec Performance 1 FT!

this here did I get it all in frame is the amtec performance one ft and I'm assuming ft stands for full tower antek has been killing it in the case Department lately so we figured now what the heck let's partner with them for this one it's a full tower it's not my first choice usually but apparently there's a lot going for the performance one ft you'll

holy cow I'm not gonna lie it has been a while since I've built in a full tower but uh this doesn't really feel like one I think antec has done a really good job making this feel as compact as it perhaps possibly can be I'm actually finding it kind of hard to believe this case is only around 150 bucks I mean just think about all the

stuff you're getting here you can see for starters we get our three 140 millimeter pwm fans up front these are 30 mil thick like I said which means I can theoretically displace a little bit more air than a 25 mil counterpart you can bend the fins a bit more and you can push more air through the frame per rotation this combined with the Airy front panel

means this is going to be a really good case for airflow and probably pretty quiet as well since all of these are pwm let's not forget our fourth storm fan back here as well this is 120 millimeters but still pwm there's just so much room for activities in here including full size 40 series RTX graphics cards which is nice because those have been getting pretty beefy

as of late now it's just doing a quick test fit before we get started with the build here because I wanted to see if you could actually fit a 360 mil up top while also running the stock 140s up front and sure enough there is just enough space for that almost like antek thought of this ahead of time with all this in mind let's go ahead

and assemble our platform I'm excited to see what this all looks like thrown into the performance one first things first let's get our 7950x 3D here into rx67e motherboard I'm going to pull back on this lever and lift up the cover I think the socket is being blocked by the lever I keep forgetting which side this opens we're going to drop our CPU in and then

carefully close things back up we'll save this cover just in case now it's time for Ram here is dim one and dim two nice by the way don't worry about storage we'll tackle that a bit later same goes for AIO mounting motherboard's going to sit something like that right there before we get to some basic wow I want to show you what antek's already done with

the pre-installed wires things running from the fans and the front i o they've got these large cable channels here well over an inch of clearance towards the front of the case this is going to be a breeze to Cable manage with by the way you've got a large panel here that we've already removed but I'll show you later what it looks like when it's installed and

then same down below another large panel that will cover the power supply shroud so this is going to look super clean even from the right side and we've got a right tempered glass panel here as well and another thing while we're here I noticed we've got a lot of fans already in the case that's great I'm not complaining but they're gonna have three more once we

put the i o in here antex thought that through just in case your motherboard doesn't have enough fan headers you get yourself a fan splitter as well super cool normally at this point I would prep the case for the AIO however despite antec leaving just enough room up top for that 360mm fan rad combo which is great we're not going to have them most space to

you know connect your eight pins up top let's say or your additional fan cable so I want to install the power supply next we'll take care of the major components especially the ones up top that are gonna be harder to get to once the io is in here and then we'll take care of that cooler and then I think the last thing no no we have

two things after that I'm getting ahead of myself the ssds we're not going within about twos which I know is a bit weird in a build like this but I'll explain why in a minute and then the graphics card we'll save that for last The Best For Last why not this here is antek's signature power supply it's a 1000 watt titanium fully modular unit this thing

is an absolute beast and frankly Overkill maybe just slightly overkill for what we're doing but there's gonna be plenty of Headroom in here for upgrades down the line and the fact that it's not very large means we're going to have extra space down below if we want to add three and a half inch drives or just shove a bunch of extra cables underneath oh if a

power supply could be art this my friends is it we've got what we need connected now to CPU apss to PCI 8 pins a 24 pin and some SATA powers and now we just slide around in from the rear we've got two captive thumb screws for this power supply bracket piece of kick and now that that's taken care of let's get the AIO in here all

right you didn't see this one coming another antec product this is an AIO from them the vortex 360 has argb support really nice looking CPU block here you can see nothing too crazy nothing out of the ordinary if you want to disable it it still looks really good without the RGB lit at all and you get three 120 mil RGB fans as well this case thankfully

has a detachable top fan bracket which means all we need to do is get our radiator assembled to the bracket and just drop it in like so two Phillips screws will tighten things down now I'm going to shift focus a bit to the whoops the wrong way I'm going to focus to the motherboard so that you guys can see what I did with the cable management

here so the wires are actually coming out on this side and I wrap them around the underside of the block underneath the tubes and sort of kind of under the retention arm for the socket and then I squeeze them between a couple of these smds and this large heatsink at the top of the board so so now it's almost as though there aren't any cables stemming

from the Block just small Cable Management tips that might help you along the way I gotta say they really make it easy with these cable channels and these velcro straps it's just uh yeah pretty effortless I know this area looks pretty rough still and it's just because there are so many cables here to worry about we've got what six seven fans routed through here all the

RGB cables as well there's an RGB Hub in there from the AIO the 24 pin front panel wiring it's just yeah it's all shoved through there but we still have actually plenty of space there so they gave us ample room for cable management and I love that plus again this is all going to be covered by one large panel so you won't even see it through

the right side let's go and get our two ssds installed we'll get the SATA data cables wired up and then the graphics card that's pretty much it now like I said we're foregoing m.2s in this rig which you would expect in a rig of this caliber these are more conventional two and a half inch drives and we wanted to go with these because they have baked

in LEDs so this RGB is going to really good through the right side panel which again is tempered glass let's see here boy love that peel the only thing I'll definitely have to do after installing these is clean off my grimy fingerprints these mirror-like surfaces are yeah oil magnets alrighty and now we've got excess cables here I mean yeah could we zip tie them sure but

here's what I think we're gonna do instead so I have to remember how this works I think it slots in like that yeah but we have to get Okay so this literally just sits like this and then we can push it down okay so that one is secure and then we've got this one which sits like so and then we can also push this down and

then we can tie this up and uh yeah there you go there's there's your cable management I love cases that implement this even when you can't see through the right side just knowing that this is all super clean and tidy and just you know covered up is it's just a satisfying feeling it really is but it's not an excuse to skip Cable Management folks do some

of it please go thank yourself later the icing on the cake is this right side panel which is tempered glass and it's totally tool-less to install although you do have one thumb screw at the rear to keep things nice and tidy especially during transport this looks really clean and I'm also super excited to be able to see those ssds glow up once the system turns on

but we cannot get ahead of ourselves we still got one important piece of the puzzle remaining that is our graphics card this is the RX 7900 XTX Let's Go full AMD why not and this thing is an absolute Beast although it is the reference model it still kicks butt in a lot of games today and I think since antec was kind enough to leave this entire

area wide open with the slot covers removed which I really like by the way I'm glad more case manufacturers are doing this we're going to install this graphics card vertically I'm really excited for this part I think this is going to bring it all together quite nicely help fill out what remaining empty space we have in here having a card that extends a bit further toward

the front of the chassis let's get the yeah Riser cable connected first and then this card is just gonna slide in like so I think we're gonna have the yeah we're gonna have a problem with the tubes so all the tubes sit on top and then the card will sit something like that and I actually just found a solution for the aio2 problem as well I've

moved the vertical graphics card bracket down one slot we can do that in this case because well it's a full tower so we get one extra slot compared to a mid Tower and now that's given us a bit more room for our tubes to relax so this I think is the final product from this side and I'm super happy with the way it turned out there's

not a lot of dead space I think we did a good job filling out the full tower as much as we reasonably could without throwing in a custom Loop and she just looks me nice and stealthy pretty much all blacked out but when we get the RGB on it's going to look totally different are you ready to fire it up I sure am here we go

power on at the rear power button up front it lives and LEDs and the fans should be turning on any second now that'll give us extra illumination inside the case apart from just our Ram there we are there's the white so they're set to White by default now I actually think that looks really good I want to go full white with this whole build uh LED

wise and that'll illuminate all the black components keep things nice and bright in here especially with the left side panel on which mind you again is not very tinted which I like so this is great it actually turned out really well now you can see that built-in monitor by the way and you can turn it on and off with this button back here and from the

rear those ssds are looking oh so yummy and with the right side panel on it's almost like they're just floating there really cool but yeah everything works as intended the only thing I can't enable is XMP or Expo that's just I've I've had just really bad luck I guess with this am5 platform it is what it is but everything else looks really good look at the

CPU attempts at idle 34 degrees Nas and chilly same with the PCH and just overall system everything's running really really cool thanks to that beefy 360 mil antec AIO the antec performance one ft then has a lot going for it as you can see there's plenty of room in here for activities full towers are traditionally just a bit too large for my liking but this one

I think is The Sweet Spot to get those eight slots at the rear you get plenty of room for custom cooling if that is what you desire and your airflow in this case is going to be plenty fine so if you front mount or top mount radiators or both you can actually Mount to 360 millimeter aios in this rig at the same time front i o

ports a plenty Hardware support across the board I mean you're not really missing much I think the only thing I could point out here is that you only get 120mm Mount at the rear instead of 140 but that's just a testament to the smaller footprint and Tech's gone for here a lot of full Towers will support a 140 at the rear but it means that the

case is going to be thicker as a result that or you're going to be compromising on cable management Headroom behind the motherboard tray and that definitely wasn't the case here and just in case you're wondering this is what the rig looks like with the left side panel installed so again just a very slight tint you can still very clearly see all of your components inside even

without RGB as long as the room is somewhat lit you're going to see your goodies inside so what do you think then she uh worthy Contender or what ignore my messy cables you weren't supposed to see those let us know in the comment section below what you think about the performance one ft and whether or not you think antec is headed in the right direction when

it comes to case design I'll admit back in the day I never really saw antek as like a Cutting Edge case designer they always had cases that I would look at but I never really followed through with many purchases because there was nothing unique about them in fact they had a lot of Cheaper more affordable cases that made sense for Budget builds but nothing again Cutting

Edge like this is totally changing the game for me when it comes to and Tech in the case Market these cases look so good the front panels I mean you can think it is stuck with like a traditional Bland mesh front panel but they didn't want to do that they wanted to dice it up a bit while not compromising on again the quality of air that

enters the case and how much of it you can actually squeeze in with those three included 140 millimeter 30 mil thick fans up front that is it's just insane that you get those in this price bracket again I would not have accepted this as a sponsored video if I thought thought that this case was like crazy overpriced I mean it's different if it's like some I

don't know extraordinary product that is just kind of there to show off but this is actually appealing to the masses I I honestly believe that the fact that it has eight slots uh the fact that you can fit oversized motherboards in here the fact they get tons of Hardware support including again dual 360 mil support you had me at dual 360 mil support you don't see

that too much uh even in larger mid Towers so I think they're in the right direction I really do I think that they have drastically improved the case appeal um used to be they had cheaper cases cases that just frankly didn't interest me performance one ft definitely does what do you guys think let me know if you want to find out more about this case you
