um governor in regards to main you know before the holiday you gave an interview where you said in regards to Trump's legal issues that it tends to sometimes suck out all the oxygen part of the campaign what have you learned from that that makes you think now with the new main election uh ballot issue and the going to the Supreme Court you'll be able to overcome

that and then on to you Thomas Mass you tweeted last night in support of that do you feel that that is also distracting from the current campaign in order to something hypothetical down the road no I think as people caucus and Iowa and vot in New Hampshire uh I think they're going to be able to separate uh you know what some partisan bureaucrat in Maine has

done separate that question with the question of who's our best nominee and who would be the best president of the United States I mean ultimately um just because someone abuses their power in Maine it doesn't mean that that candidate's the best candidate to run or be the best president uh and I'm confident that I would be both the best candidate and then be the most effective

president uh by far but also say that I have a record of beating these people in Florida um you know I'm not letting them eat my lunch you know we're taking on the teachers union we're taking on Soros we're taking on the left we're doing all of this and actually winning victories that's what we need to be doing again going forward but I will say this

what what's happened in in Colorado and Maine that that is that is just like uh nothing compared to what you'll see throughout the rest of the balance of the campaign uh if Donald uh Donald Trump's the nominee I mean that's not even scratching the surface uh the Democrats are playing for peeps um and and I've said all along my fear is is that they have a

Playbook that has proven to be successful in this regard so we need as Republicans I think to put our best foot forward uh nominate uh somebody like me who's going to be able to go in focus on Biden's failures show show the American people we've got a vision for the future but then most importantly deliver on all these promises uh you know we didn't get a

wall under Trump we didn't get the swamp drained under Trump we didn't get the Dead eliminate under Trump like he promised uh I'm going to deliver where he failed so I'm a member of the Republican party in Congress I'm going to take up for Republicans I'm going to take up for the nominee whoever it is and the notion that I floated yesterday was these states like

Colorado and Maine uh that are probably going to be blue anyway if Trump's on the ballot need to keep in mind that Congress is the ultimate Arbiter of whether we recognize their electors or not and what's different between 2021 and 2025 right now we're in the majority we were not in the majority in 2021 so and this is uh justiciable we could adjudicate this in Congress

it's a fact whether they tinkered with their ballots in these states or not so I could be inclined to not recognize electors from those states that are rigging their ballots but let me just say this my goodness why can't we have a candidate who doesn't have all this baggage that's what I want last question last question the off other states that how does the of your

campaign it doesn't affect me at all because I'm running to win period and that's just the reality now I do not think the Supreme Court is going to uphold what Colorado and Maine did I think it opens up a Pandora's Box um you have no criminal convictions uh here you're talking about a bureaucrat being able to make a decision what is keeping a republican secretary of

state from saying Biden has led in 8 million people including people from from enemy Nations that means he's given Aid and comfort under the 14th Amendment and that he can be kept off the ballot it's just basically one bureaucrat can make that decision so it would open up a Pandora's Box that just would not be good for this country but I think more importantly is not

the way the Constitution was meant to actually be applied um you know the 14th Amendment is obviously in effect it's not that it only affected those years where it was ratified uh but there's got to be some due process and there's got to be some EV identi basis before you can just go willy-nilly kicking people off the ballot so I I think they're going to take

it up and I think they're going to dispose of it uh relatively quickly but regardless of that uh my job is to amass a majority of the delegates and we're going to continue to be doing that and let's just be clear um if one of Trump's competitors were kicked off the ballot he would be spiking the football he would be cheering it that's just a fact

and we don't want it to be hijacked uh by some leftwing bureaucrat thanks guys
