Welcome to the end to end ICO series where you learn how to launch your own ICO straight from the experts. Let's get to another favorite question that practically everybody comes up with. How long should a pitch tech be? The response to that is it depends. Why does it depend? Because the context of the context in which a pitch tech is used tends to vary. Sometimes a
pitch tech is used to present your idea. Sometimes a pitch tech is used to present your idea or walk someone through your idea remotely. In this case if that investor or that person who I was going to look at the pitch tech is re-bought and you're not there in person actually presenting that pitch tech the length of that pitch tech tends to be different. If you
are there in person because you're able to answer a lot of questions that are going to come out of it that pitch tech tends to be much more shorter. Having said that so let's look at two particular contexts when you're presenting a pitch tech yourself and when you're not presenting a pitch tech and the intended audience of that pitch tech is actually far, far away. One
of the most critical elements for you to define is who is the intended audience for the pitch tech. Given that you're launching an ICO we'll assume that in most cases the intended audience of your pitch tech is a potential investor. Now if you're going to again it is important for us to understand what sort of an investor is this pitch tech meant for. Is it meant
for a retail investor or is it meant for an institutional investor? Because if it is meant for a retail investor your pitch tech has to be really really simple. It has to have no more than maybe seven or eight slides. That explains your business concept in very, very concise terms and because you're launching something in the crypto space you might want to dumb down some of
the crypto stuff as well for these people to understand. Now let's say let's shift gears and talk about institutional or sophisticated investors in that somebody who's not a retail investor. If you're going to create a pitch tech for those sorts of investors your pitch tech might be twice as long as what you might put out for a retail investor. Because the kind of questions institutional investors
or larger investors tend to ask tend to be different. How big is the market? What's competition? What are your margins? What happens if this goes wrong? What happens if that goes wrong? Who are the folks behind this? Can you go into a little more detail about these guys? What have they done in their past life? I don't exactly understand. You need blockchain here or your solution
is not very clear to me. So if you're going after institutional or other investors other than retail investors or structured investors or sophisticated investors your pitch tech could be much longer than the seven or eight slide or maybe a 10 slider retail investor presentations. But mind you while you might be giving a little more information than what you did with the retail investor you are still
going to have to keep it very very structured and very very concise because you don't want to overload them with information. You always want them to come back you asking for questions. So your goals that the two things that you need to remember when you're putting a pitch tech together is who's your intended audience number one. And the second one is how what are the questions
that you're going to ask or who's the who's the intended audience and the second one what are the goals that you want to ask. You achieve all of them more often than not the goal that you want or the outcome that you're looking for is not really an investment. You're actually looking for them to get curious about you and ask you more questions because nobody ever
closed a deal on a pitch tech alone. It was always when they had a discussion with the founders. Got it. You like this episode? Raters five stars on iTunes and Google podcast never miss an episode. Subscribe at www.cryptonights.io. That's C-R-Y-P-T-O-K-N-I-G-H-T-S.io.
