is happening and what is likely to happen next and how you can try and save yourself from the worst effects of this crisis. The crypto lag. This is where you subscribe for all of the latest happening out there in the wild, wild world of crypto and beyond. It will walk you through all of those basics and much, much more. Link down below where you can learn more. So let's start today's chat with the unemployment crisis. This is
insane beyond belief. 10 million jobs. 10 million jobs have been lost in the United States in just two weeks. 10 million people. Now this chart here shows that it is unlike anything that has ever happened before. In the actual number of courses, it's likely to be much higher than the official numbers, which are insane as it is, but unemployment services, they're currently overwhelmed. You have to
assume that some people aren't able to actually file for unemployment quite yet. And of course, this number likely is not sufficiently account for the gig work. So, the workers who are now crushed and those who are simply going to be massively under employed as they see their hours cut big time. And of course, the freelancers and the small businesses whose work will also dry up dramatically
with falls and orders and really just a slowdown in economic activity overall. And the coming week will likely see even more people lose their jobs. So watch forward for another shocking unemployment report out of the US next week. We have a bit of context here for the USA. 15 million people work in retail. 16 million work in hospitality. Three million work for the airline industry. 21
million work in professional services. And seven million work in construction. Now all of these jobs and actually many, many more besides that are at high risk for being laid off or for being fired. Now some sectors like supply chains and medicine and farming and grocery stores. Those are going to be okay. But all the industries that I just mentioned, they will get crushed significantly. And for
the US, there's also extra little special flavor of Darwinian insanity because most people will lose their health care when they lose their jobs, which is the worst thing possible during a pandemic. I mean, the food America is up with that. And this exact situation with unemployment, it's not unique to America by any means. It's playing out all over the world. Millions of jobs have been lost
in the EU countries like Spain and Italy are being hit super hard. We see jobs being lost in specific places like Australia and New Zealand really just everywhere. More than 100 million people globally, I think are likely to be out of work by the end of April. Maybe more, maybe a lot more. Most major economies, they're heading for double digit employment and they're heading there very,
very quickly. Like I said the other day, this crisis is like a tsunami. It's only been hit by the first couple of waves. There are more waves coming, bigger and fiercer waves. And when that tsunami sucks back out to sea, it's going to drag a lot of people with it and leave a path of unmitigated destruction in its path. Remember that globally, most people have very
little savings. And most people, most people live in paycheck to paycheck. It's insane. In the US, for example, as many as 78%, that's the upper estimate. There are different estimates. But the highest estimate is that 78% of people are living paycheck to paycheck. And around 40% of people in the United States are unable to afford a $400 emergency. So what happens to these people in the
next few weeks? They will have nothing. No food, no money, only guns and desperation. The potential for mass riots and mass civil unrest and lawlessness, that becomes very, very real. And while the media may not currently be reporting on it very much, the looting is already beginning. From the island of Sicily where we see Sicilians looting stores over to Mexico, over to the United States, where
we see looting already starting to happen in California and in South Carolina, this is going to get way worse. We have only just begun to see the desperation start to simmer to the surface. There are multi hour waits at food banks, which are, of course, seeing massive increases in demand from first time food bankers. And of course, the food banks, they are quickly getting pushed to
their upper limits. Many of them are simply going to be unable to cope with the unimaginable demand that's going to come over the next couple of weeks. This is a great depression level economic situation. In fact, this may make the great depression look like a day at the beach. So yeah, keep that in mind. And of course, as the economy gets even more fragile, people are
going to start to trust the banks less and less. Now there are a few things that could happen to your local fiat currency, whether you're in the dollar or in the euro or whatever else. The first is that there could be a bank run. Really, as people stop trusting the banks, they're going to pull out their money, which would obviously then lead to capital controls. So
get in and get your cash for the capital controls. Start coming down. You can see capital controls limiting your ability to take out like, you know, $100 a day at a maximum. That's not unprecedented by any means. We've seen a lot of capital controls run out across the world this year. The second, of course, is the possibility for hyperinflation. Now a mind boggling amount of money
has been committed to fight this crisis. And it's all new money, which we printed up by the center. This is money, this is inflation money. And as the crisis grinds on, you can bet your bottom dollar. There will be more money printed. There's already more than 10 trillion has been committed globally to fight this crisis. Now that includes 6.2 trillion in the United States of 2.2
trillion going direct for stimulus and 4 trillion for liquidity in the markets, 1 trillion in Japan, 800 billion in the EU, 2.5 trillion from the IMF and of course loads from other countries as well. Cash though, even in spite of all that, is probably going to be one of the safest bets at the moment since hyperinflation won't happen overnight with the major fiat currencies. It just
dramatically increases their inflation rates. Because things are likely beginning way worse before they get better globally and cash is going to be king right now. You have to realize most people are totally unprepared either mentally or financially for an event like this. Many people are simply waiting around for the government to come and save them. The government is not going to save you, the governments are
only interested in saving themselves and saving their corporate mates with lots and lots of free money. Regular people, I'm sorry, but you're just not a priority for governments. You're not rich and powerful enough. Sorry about your luck. The US stimulus package totally proves that of the 6.2 trillion that they put forward, only 8% goes to helping regular people in the form of a one time payment
and of unemployment insurance. The corporations, the banks, the big banks, are getting the other 92% that's the absolute lion's share of all of this free money. And those people who have spent their lives living on credit, oh man, you're going to be in for a rude awakening in the next few weeks. Most people skill set to it's unfortunately confined to turning the TV on and off
and most depressingly believing the lies on the propaganda box. Look, I don't like to be doom and gloom but this is real. This is happening. You need to be aware and to react accordingly. This is likely to get way fricking worse before it starts getting better. So you need to be ready for those eventualities. If it doesn't get worse, well then great. You're prepared and the
worst things didn't happen because, look, for most people watching, you need to understand the government is not going to save you. Your employer is not going to save you. Oh sure, there's going to be some countries and some employers that'll do really great by their people. But most people know. You take care of yourself. I know it'll be harder if you were not already prepared for
this event, but there's still a lot that you can do now, even if you weren't prepared before, make sure you have cash on hand, make sure you have lots of food on hand, make sure you have gold, make sure you have Bitcoin, if you can afford those things, of course, have your personal security planned, very important. The most successful investors that I know they are right
now in cash in gold and in Bitcoin. Watch out the big, money does. And look, you may need to think outside the box a bit here too. Yes, there are lots of people who won't lose their jobs. Great for those people. But there will also be many opportunities to make incredible wealth during this time of fear. I know it's an uncomfortable truth. You want to talk
about making money during these times, but that's exactly what is going to be happening. But the majority of people, look, they're going to do nothing. They're crushed by the tides of history. They're going to sit and watch the TV. They're going to wait for the government to come and save them. Well, the banks take their house. Well, the banks take their car. And then those same
people are going to go wait in line at banks to get a little scrap of money. And then the walk around the corner, wait in line of the food bank to get a little scrap of food. Don't let that be you. Do not let that be your family. Now, if you have managed to this point in the video, then I get feeling that you're not the
average person. You're probably not going to let those things happen to you. You know that there will be massive opportunity in the coming months. You know that you need to be ready for things to get way worse. Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. And if you're prepared, awesome. Very, very good stuff. Look, you can find ways to make money during this crisis. You can
find ways to prosper. There are many ways online. I mean, go, go and upskill. Do it fast. You can definitely do that. Leverage your current resources, leverage your contacts that you already have, support your family, support your friends, support your community as much as you can. If you have the ability, be kind to each other. Crush the crisis. Don't let the crisis crush you. There will
be incredible opportunities for investments and for trading and all that fun kind of stuff. But make sure you take care of the basics. First, food security family. And then look, look for an edge after that. It's out there if you are looking with the right eyes. So keep your eyes in your mind open. Anyway, those are my two studies. I'll make a lot more videos on
the crisis as it continues to unfold. So definitely stay tuned. But I would love to hear from you two things. The first is what is happening where you live. So where do you live? What's happening? Are you seeing massive employment numbers? Lots of people lose their jobs and all that stuff. What's happening in your community? How bad is the crisis actually affecting your area? And then
what are you, personally doing? I mean, are you one of the lucky ones who got to keep their job? If so, awesome. Or are you out there looking for ways to make money during this crisis? I would love to know what is happening with you. So let me know down below in the comments section. And as always, remember, no crisis lasts forever. This like all others
will pass. But it might be hard to ride out that storm if you're not prepared and you're not willing to do the things necessary. To be successful during this period. Stay safe, stay healthy. And I'll see you back here tomorrow. Thank you so much for watching today's video. If you did enjoy it, which I'll hit that thumbs up button. Make sure to subscribe to the channel
as well. If you are new around here, long live the blockchain. And be out to next time. Bye.
