You smoked some of the most interesting cigars that I have ever seen. You have great social media content. And I would love to just learn about you and your love of the leaf. So tell me about yourself. How did you

get into the Sagar? I really appreciate that what you see is what it is. No fluff, no bills or with some stuff. Just me, a lady who just loves cigars. And I love goods cigars. I like how you specify it. You got it. My brother the leaf cap will it's he has a hashtag that says gotta be a damn good smoke. That's where I am with

it. There you go. So how did you get into Sagar's smoky? I was on a company retreat and noticed that all the guys were in the back. We would do constructive team building during the day and then in the evening. It was wild. But the guys would always sneak off to the back. And I needed to know what they were doing. They were back there smoking

cigars. Some of them had Cuban cigars. And that's where it started for me. I haven't looked back since 12 years ago. I know that's right. You said I'm not going to say that. I needed to know what they were doing. I wanted to see what was happening back there. Right. Right. So that's how it that's that's when I fell in love with cigars. And I'm still

in love with cigars. That's wonderful. Now I did not know that you were from DC. Shout out to my city Washington DC. That's right. Chocolate city. DC. I love you still. I still love DC. Always. Yes. I was in DC a couple about a month ago as a matter of fact now at a tap house that has an outdoor area for smoky cigars up on F

Street. And had a good time and met up with my friends. Shout out to Ace, Wendy and Laurent. We met up and had a real good time smoking outside and just enjoying ourselves. Yeah. I feel like we would be remiss if we don't give a shout out to the land of Go Go. Oh, you know it. People just don't understand. Exactly. They don't understand. Exactly. The

great, the late great Mr. Chuck Brown. Yes. Sugar Bear. That's what DC is. That's the essence of Washington DC. You know it. You know it. So tell me what it is about cigars that really kind of captivated you. I know for me, it was not just a cigar, but the preparation that went into smoking a cigar you I. When I smoke a cigar and I cut

the cap and I cold draw and toast the foot. I am anticipating a relaxing experience. And I'm unwinding my mind. I'm on a blind spot with my friends. I'm unwinding my nerves and I'm actively putting myself into a place where I can be receptive to really give vibes. What is it about cigar smoking for you that is something that's captivated you that has made you continue

to come back for over 12 years. That that beautiful. Perfectly beautiful description that you just gave is precisely what it is for me. It is an experience for me cigars are my moments of peace in my chaos. That is my moment to just be with myself, my thoughts on the weekends. I get up extra early before my sun's get up just so I can have that

moment with my cup of coffee on the porch. And those are my thoughts on the weekend. I'm also the moment that I'm outside smoking and talking to God and just reflecting on my blessings. That is it truly is an experience for me. The whole thing of what you said about cutting the cap and doing the drive pull doing a sniff on the cigar. Even even matches

I have infinity for matches especially for me. If I'm smoking Cuban. If I'm smoking Cuban stick. I prefer to use matches because I don't want to disrupt the delicateness of a beautiful Cuban cigar. No, that's right. You know, I had it. I was fortunate enough that my wife took me to Cuba in 2018. And I saw the ritual. That they have behind smoking a cigar. Now,

Applewood matches. Really? Yeah. So I'll reach out to you offline. I'll be in you offline and I'll see you make. You've got to share that. Yes. And so I've gotten into matches as well. like Cubans, right? So tell me what other kinds of cigars you like. What do you into nowadays? Nowadays, I love boutique cigars because they're usually generally produced in small batches. I have an affinity for boutique sticks. And one of my favorite boutique sticks is the manza. We talked about the manza before. But that stick is a full body beautifully blended, delicious stick. And I usually keep

some manza on hand. That one's I'm produced by Alex Spencer out of Cincinnati. Yeah. I guess shout out to Alex. I see him all the time on Clubhouse. Yeah. All of the cigar rooms. So shout out to him. I really like those weird obscure lines and brands that you can't get in a lot of places. Yeah. They intrigued me and they peed my interest. And I'm always excited when I find

something that I've never seen or heard of before. Yeah. When I find it and I Google it, there's only like one article about it. Or the right. The only link is just to their website. I'm like, oh, I gotta try this. Exactly. It's like it's like opening a Christmas present. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. So I heard you mentioned that the manza is a full body

sugar. Are you a full body smoker? Oh, yeah. I'm definitely a full body. A smoker. Every blue moon, I'll get in the mood for something lighter. Like a last week, I was smoking a couple of. Drew estate's flying pig the shade. Oh, okay. That shade stick is a great stick to pair with coffee. I mean, the back, the balance is just right. I'm not really. I'm

a huge, huge fan of the Drew estate line, but I do enjoy the shade with my coffee from time to time. Yeah. Yeah. I am not a big fan. Well, I'm gonna take that. I'm not gonna say that because I am a big fan of all of the Unico series and the legal series. So I love the year of the rat, the year of the ox.

I just picked up some UF 13s. Oh, right. See, those, those are the serious. That's just, this is just my humble opinion, but those are the serious cigars in the Drew estate line. Right. And I'll tell you that I picked up a legal a session last week, because you know, they had a special on Drew estate. They had an event. They're actually. I missed it. So

I came after the fact, but I, I remember the first time I was in the city, I was like, I'm not sure if I was in the city. That's the first time I tried a legal nine. Yes. This was, this was many years ago. Okay. And I'm telling you at first light, at first light, first puff, I was like, oh, wow. This one, this one right

here. Yes, I fell in love with that stick. Right. Yes. Yes. But, but again, my humble opinion that something to me, something's a bit different with the the blend for with the legal nine for me. It I have not been able to capture that experience that I had with the legal nine a few years ago. And I just every time I've tasted it since then it's

tasted a bit different to me. Hmm. Now, let me ask a question. Is it the blend or is it that your palate has changed? I could, could, could. But I have a pretty sharp palate. Okay. And I think it is the, to me, the, it tastes like the blend is a wee bit different. Hmm. Okay. And you know what? I wouldn't be surprised because they've been

producing that cigar for a very, very, very long time. In cigar years, a very long time. Right. It's almost impossible to get identical. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Whether you're talking rapper, filler or binder, it's almost impossible. And I would not be surprised if even though they got it from the same source, right? The same farm. Mm-hmm. If there wasn't some kind of environmental event, like a warmer

summer or a cooler summer that changed the taste of the tobacco or the some change maybe in the fermentation process, that may have changed the blend or the taste or the flavor of the tobacco. So I wouldn't be surprised at all. I've had that experience with, um, the crook of the crown by stolen throwing cigars. Yeah. Yeah. You know, not, and not a big change, but

it is slight difference. Right. And you can taste it. Right. Yeah. I agree. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So I am a big fan of boutiques as well. Um, I love the legal series. I like the nine more than I like the T 52. Mm-hmm. But I love the legal series now. I have a guy who knows a guy who has access to the Bauhaus. It is a legal

series that is only for Europe. Wow. Yes. And so I am working. I'm actively working to get a box shipped to me. Um, as you can imagine, it's priced in Euros. Right. Shipping is expensive. Right. So they, so they end up being about a $35 should are right. But to say that I have a to be able to enjoy them over the next two years, because

I'm only smoking maybe a couple of year. Right. There's only like 10 or 12 in a box. Right. I'm going, that means the world to me. And so I'm, I'm working this guy trying to get him to come down out of the price or something, but I need that box of Bauhaus. Get him to our get him. I love it. So we talked about the love

of the leaf. We talked about how you got into cigar culture and lifestyle. We talked about how you love full body cigars. Shout out to the man's align. Um, shout out to Alex as well. We talked a little bit about pairing with coffee. What is your favorite thing to pair with? Because I know some people who don't pair cigars with the man's of beverage. They may

pair it with music or with a scenery. What is your favorite thing to pair cigar with? Yeah, that's. With with me, it's always based on mood. And when I'm smoking a full body. I do love a rich red wine. Um, and I am a bourbon lover also. Okay. Okay. Um, but I mean this weekend I was drinking whiskey. Um, it really depends on my mood. Um,

and, and with respect to music. Again, it depends on my mood. Last week, all I listened to was DMX. While I was smoking. It really depends on my mood. And, and, and, with respect to music. Again, it depends on my mood. Last week, all I listened to was DMX. While, while I was smoking. It really just depends on what I'm feeling. Um, that day. Yeah, yeah.

For me, um, I am a big reggae fan. I, I really love roots and culture. So reggae from the 70s. in early 80s. Um, so I love some classic reggae. I love cold train. Mm, haha. I love the loniest monk. Mm, mm. Um, hmm. Um, let's do that. I love Roy Ayers. Yep. And a nice, I'm a medium full guy, not necessarily medium, but I like

that middle between the medium and the full body. Sure. Um, but I've been playing around with different pairings. And so as of late, um, I've been playing around with tequila. Ah, yes. You know, playing around with tequila a couple of weeks ago, I was pairing with hot sake. Oh, really? Yes. Haha. How did that go? How did that go? That was interesting. Saki has a really

strong aftertaste. Yes, it does. That's sweet. And so it changed my palate as I was smoking the cigar. Mm-hmm. But I, I really am into now pairing with tequila. I've always been a run fan. I'm not really a big bourbon, um, or whiskey guy. Mm-hmm. If I get my hands on some, um, good stuff. And yeah, of course I'll drink it. But, uh, after I came

back from Cuba, I only paired now with rum. But I've been playing around with tequila. And I came across a good repassado from St. Coro that is absolutely amazing. Really? Yes. And I drink it neat. No ice, no water, no mix, no nothing. Right. And it is great. And I must try it. Yes. I agree with you on the rum. Cubans know exactly what they're doing.

I think rum is wonderful with a cigar. Yes, it is. I mean, it is like a match made in heaven. It really is. I, you know, I was, um, I was in a rubah last month. And I bought back some Cuban rum called Don, Don, Canne. Mm-hmm. And, um, not too sweet, just a slight sweet taste, great price point. Get a fifth like 26 bucks. Mm-hmm.

And, uh, oh, man. I had my, I, I smoked one of my last Cubans, a part of your series D number six. Oh. With a healthy pour that rum. And I was in complete heaven. Yeah. For about an hour. Yeah. Yes. So I, I cannot complain. I do enjoy interesting pairings. Um, and I too have started pairing with different things like music, um, pairing with art.

I've been dabbling with sketching, uh, the last couple of weeks. And I don't know why I don't even know where it came from. But it's kind of cool. It's very, you know, relaxing. It's very cathartic for me. Yeah. And I really do enjoy it. Really do enjoy it. That's pretty awesome. I can't wait for you to show off your stuff. I don't think anyone's going to

ever see my little corny artwork system. Yeah. Have you, have you had any, have you had a cigar today? Um, yeah. I'm smoking the manza right now, actually. Okay. Um, uh, earlier, though, earlier, um, earlier in the, uh, day, um, I, I, I have one left. I had two, um, left sitting. Um, I smoked a money number two. Um, earlier, uh, in the day. Yeah. So

I have one more left. So I have to decide when I'm, how long I'm going to let that last. There you go. Or, or, or. It's time to re up. It's time to re up. It's always time to re up. Indeed. Indeed. Indeed. Yes. So tell me what it is that you want to see. And the cigar that knocks your socks off. Tell me what it

is about the cigar. Experience. Flavors, construction that you like the most. Um, there are some sticks that just, um, have a gorgeous look to them. Like before you even touch it, you look at the stick in it. It has this beautiful black wrapper, um, usually something like a material. Um, and, and it has a sheen to it. The, um, and the feathers I Roseia Forest, um,

and what it's like, Um, so, um, I, the 19. Runs are really good stock. With, um, and, um, look from the, um, lasting, uh, the black ones are the same thing. Um, they're really pretty. OK, they're not hurting. Uh, I just think like, some of the magic hair is like sticking this gap in the, um, I still have worry of, um, getting in thisr. Um, tough

to call. Um,tm I think the center is right now. Um, yeah, right, ago, is moving on right now. Um, yeah. Oh, that guy, the, the sun is, uh, is restroke backwards up, going up and investment. Um,. Uh, um, I can always look as thick as they were looking. Um. And the outside man, outside of that. I feel a little reluctant about that draft, to talk now

if I'm moving out of the way. Um, I think it's the one that smells good. Um, it's the one that tastes good before you light it. Yeah. And, and then when you light it and you take that first. Cool. You know instantly, when you take that first cool. Like, oh my goodness, this is, this is going to be fantastic. I, I love when I stumble on

cigars like that. Yeah. I am a big fan of dark rappers. I'm a big fan of a squirrel and my doodle rappers. I love dark rappers. Um, I am also a fan of smaller ringgauge cigars. I prefer Corona's. A lot of people look at me. Yeah. A lot of people look at me weird when I say that, but I am a Corona fan. But boost those

are okay. Toils, I won't deal with gore those. I don't deal with it all. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. But give me a good Corona or give me a good lawns day. Um, and I'm just a happy camper. Yeah. I, Turo is my, my, probably my, uh, my total of choice. Um, I don't know. It's just something about it. I love the way it feels and my fingers and,

um, it, it is, it is, uh, just right. And, and, and, and not too much. Um, I don't care for the larger, uh, uh, gauges. I, I just don't, for me, I, I just don't do something about the, the, the taste is something about, um, the lack of transition. And so I, I stay away from, um, uh, the big ones. I mean, they may be one

out there on the planet. I like to discover it. That's for certain. But, um, I'm not a fan of those. Um, I tell you another, um, I don't know. Another one is, um, um, I just went right out of my, um, head, uh, the long skinny helped me, um, Lensero. Lensero. Okay. Um, I wasn't a fan of Lensero until I have two favorite. Lensero. What's interesting

coming from the woman who says she's not really a big, true estate fan. But that, um, L 20. Hmm. Yes. Oh, oh, M. I don't know how they do it. But, um, it's just a wonderful Lensero. That's my, that's my second choice. My first choice. Lensero. Um, it's just delicious. Just just a delicious. Cigarra not ones by, um, Sonostra, uh, uh, Havana V8, VA, uh, uh,

uh, brand. Um, they, they just simply make a great Lensero. Those are my two that, um, if I, if I have the snow, Lensero, those are the two that I would choose. Okay. See, that's good to know. That's good to know. I, I can get down with the Lensero because you get so much flavor because it's so much more rapper to you. Uh, as opposed to,

uh, binder filler that, that ratio is so much, you know, better. But a lot of the times when I smoke, I don't want to smoke more than an hour. And so I don't smoke Lensero for that reason. Right.
