Now here's your host, Invest Nuwaw. Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this episode of cigars and crypto. Let me tell you how he laid it. I am to have my man 50 grand. Your boy Mr. Jay Hill.
What's good? How you doing? I'm doing good, brother. How you doing? I'm well, man. Absolutely no complaints from me. No complaints. It's a file. I'll, you know, look after five. My time I haven't had a cigar yet. But that's all good. You know, we're okay. Okay. Okay. I'm sure you'll get to it. Of course I will. Well, of course. So hey, man, I am not one
to mix words, man. I really want to find out about who you are. I bumped into you on Clubhouse and followed you on Twitter. And I am a part of a group that you are in. I joined a group that you're in on telegram and I am just amazed and astonished about about you and what you've been into. So let's get started first. Tell me a
little bit about you. A little bit about yourself. A little bit about myself. So military, Brad. I was born in Germany, danced around a bit. We moved to a couple places back and forth between Regansburg and Monterey. But yeah, I was burning Regansburg Germany. And pretty much spent most of my life in Atlanta. We ended up settling down. And I was going to be able to
do something. In Atlanta, Georgia. And through the years of training throughout sports and going to school and finding my identity. Atlanta has been home. I've actually traveled back and forth through the years of doing martial arts. And in my background mainly is martial arts. And I've actually had a martial arts. I've been a martial arts student here in Atlanta, or like Donia, Georgia. And worth teaching
students, people how to protect themselves, understand self defense, and self mastery, right? In some sense or form. And yeah, that's been my go to, you know, through martial arts. I actually come dabble and explore the world of martial arts. I've been a part of both stunts and within the world of stunts and working on a couple films. And it's been really cool. It's been really cool
to kind of experience. Working in the film, I'm a big scentify. I love watching films. I watch movies all day. Just to kind of understand or see the different ways that people shot different things. And, you know, different directors have a different look. Right? I'm sure there's a couple films that you like. A couple of classes. What's one of your favorite films? If you don't mind
me asking. Yo, man, it's the first start before I answer this question. Okay. Okay. Right now. Don't laugh at me. I'm a real talk man. My favorite movie is Starship Troopers. I can dig it. I can dig it. I can listen. I can dig it. You know, funny thing is, it's like I'm a big sci-fi fan. So that was one of my favorites. It's definitely classic.
But that's cool, man. But I can definitely appreciate, you know, just the creative process. I'm a creative heart through, you know, getting involved in stunts and just like I'm also a professional roller skater, like I think back in 2008, I was just getting out of a bad relationship. I was getting out of a relationship and you know, I had a friend that was like, hey, man,
let's, you know, let's try something out. I decided to go skating one night and actually ran into a guy. His name is Paul. He, you mentioned that I was like, hey, man, I want to give him a skating scene pretty good. And I was like, yeah, man, I've been skating for, you know, 10 plus years, almost 20 years. I'm like, man, that's crazy. I was like,
I don't, I don't, I will never see myself skating that long. And here I am 14 years later, I've been skating and involved in this space. And it's something that I enjoy. It's just a way to kind of, you know, express myself just through, it's kind of like another art form. It's like, you know, you see ice skating, you see the, you know, Olympics. I love
watching the Olympics. Like that's something that I'm a big advocate for is just watching, you know, these athletes, you know, compete at their best and, you know, seeing people find their way of kind of expressing themselves in some shape or form. Skating was another way for me to kind of express that in some type of sense. But I don't know if you've been skating recently or
in the past few years, but it's definitely taken off over the last, you know, a couple of months due to COVID. People have been kind of, it's kind of gone viral, right? People have been kind of jumping back into that world. But, but yeah, that's just, you know, another, another part of me. But overall, I mean, you know, I just, I'm a creative at heart, but
how I kind of fell into crypto was, wait, wait, before we go there, before we go there. All right. So ladies and gentlemen, if first off, tell folks what we can find you on Twitter, because I'm about to reference something on your. Okay. It's Johnny crypto three at or that's it pretty much at Johnny crypto three. On Twitter. Okay. Sorry. So is on your profile, bro,
you have a pinned tweet of someone skating. Is that you? That's me. My man 50 grand. I baby. Yeah. That's cool. I just want to check, man, because I was when I invited you, I went to your profile. Are you profile? And I saw that video. I was like, well, maybe get it in. I'm too fat for that. Yeah. I broke all my. Man, listen, what,
what are my boys? He's from Philly. I'm I'm sorry. He's from Jersey. And you don't have the same bill. But man, when I say you get on there and you just kind of find your flow, man, I promise you, it feels like, you know, you're, you're a buck 50, man. I promise you you're literally just gliding. But it takes time. Of course, just like crypto, you
know, anything. You invest your time into is going to take a moment, but you'll eventually get your eventually get it. I got to hold you to that, bro. If I break the back, it's going to be me. That's actually a great segue into my next question, man. How did you get into crypto? So funny thing is, you know, I mentioned, I'm big into movies. So, I
was watching dope. I think it's back in, because dope came out 2015 and it wasn't until until 2016 when I actually watched the film. And watched it and he mentioned Bitcoin that I had heard it through. I think a couple of friends and, you know, in passing, right? And it didn't look quite stick. And I was like, okay, you know, that's, that's, that's interesting. I did
a bit of research. It wasn't that I didn't go down the rabbit hole. It was just more like I kept hearing it in the background. And then it wasn't until, I think, like summer 2017, I had a friend that had posted something about it running up and during the summer. And again, I didn't quite dive in. And it wasn't until like the fall. I think it
was like August September. And I was, okay. All right. I need to really understand what's going on. And I think I was like, what's going on? I did a, you know, fell down the rabbit hole, started doing as much research as possible. And yeah, I will say it was definitely dope. That kind of started or was like the, the match to the, the, the fire, and
from there. I just literally just been every day, damn near, every day. Have been, you know, checking the alerts, checking my portfolio. Not all the time, but for the most part, like, I'm looking at the charts. But yeah, 2017 was what, I was with, like a lot of bankruptcy or the, was my entry into the crypto space. And, you know, I still remember purchasing. I think
the first thing I, of course, I purchased Bitcoin and then I ended up purchasing Litecoin. So Litecoin was the first actual Altcoin that I actually purchased. After, you know, getting, getting involved and initially I was trying to, to trade and, you know, I was making some profits and then also, you know, we know what happened after. 2017, 2018. So 2018 comes around and, you know, I
was in a couple, you know, trading groups and getting all these different alerts and, you know, people are expecting these great, you know, crazy targets. And we're going to go higher, we're going to go higher. So, you know, having that information, fueling my investments, without actually understanding how these markets play out, how, where we've actually come from, like, actually looking at the chart and really understanding
what the chart, you can, you can look at a chart on the five minute timeframe. But if you don't zoom out and see where we come from and see that, you know, it's time to kind of people are taking profits, you know, that that's when you start to see the outflow of people are taking, you know, their money and, and credit, you know, putting that into
other assets or just cashing out completely. So 2018, I learned a lot. I learned some, you know, so much about the space I learned about a number of different projects, scams, ways to, you know, earn income passively, the master noting. And I learned a lot about myself more than anything. I really learned my psyche, right? I'm a very, I understand I'm impulsive. And it's just again,
like, just the market and just investing taught me a lot about myself, especially when I'm in a market. And I'm my background to say more like artistic or, you know, martial arts is more physical, where, you know, if I show you something, I can see the results real time versus me having to, you know, put the work in, you know, to either see this investment opportunity
and then allow time to happen to reap the benefits or, you know, to take profit. Again, that that was, I was stubborn. I'll say I was stubborn as hell. It took me a minute to grasp that concept. But once I did, you know, I started to see things change for myself. And again, it's still ongoing, it's still a ongoing journey. But definitely learned a lot in
2017, 2017, 2018. And, you know, here we are today, you know, we're in some very interesting, we're in a very interesting position. What we are right now as far as just the overall space. I see, I see a lot of upside, I see a lot of upside. But in the back of my mind, I still have to kind of consider the alternative options, you know, as
being like a trader. I didn't have, you know, a finance background. I didn't have, you know, family members or some type of mentor that was in the traditional markets. Right. So there was no guidance. I had to kind of do a lot of trial and error and figure this out myself. And there's a lot of lessons. There's a lot of lessons you can find. And there's
a lot of different people that are just kind of sharing information via Twitter, via YouTube and, you know, telegram groups. I think there's so many vast amount of ways that you can connect with different people around the globe real time. And what I have. But, you know, I'll say that it wasn't until most recently that I think clubhouse kind of shift. It opened my eyes in
the sense that I was in the middle of the world. And I think that's the kind of way I had to think about, you know, this is the kind of way I was in the sense to how many more like people of color, there were involved in the space, right. I've seen Bitcoin's A for years. Like, I've been following for years. I've, you know, seen his
his YouTube channel, watch his videos, you know, gentlemen of crypto. And. But, but actually, you know, having that real time feedback versus it just being, you know, text on Twitter. I feel like I've learned so much more in the first couple of months, even the damn first two weeks of being on clubhouse connected with so many, you know, like mines, different, different perspectives, different backstories, developers,
traders, just hot alerts, people that are just buying and holding, you know, is, is, it's been really enlightening to see and connect with just so many great people. In a short amount of time. And I've seen you, I've actually seen your, your Twitter account. Or I've actually been following you for some time. I think it was via. I forgot who it was. I think it might
have been. It's something, some type of investor. I forgot who it was. But I, I, I do remember in a moment, but I do remember seeing you and you cigars and you were talking about Bitcoin and, you know, actually have me a verbal conversation with you. I thought was like really cool. Because you can actually put, you know, a voice to the, to the, the profile,
right? So it's, it's, it's been a really cool experience clubhouses, you know, allowed for people to connect. And not even realizing that we needed that in the sense, you know, like just based off the pandemic, you know, like people have been disconnected. And, you know, people weren't really using phones like that. Like, I mean, there are people that use phones every day. But as far as
just like having long conversation with you, you know, I think it's really cool. Lots of conversations via audio, of course, if you're doing like a business meetings and things like that. But just random people that you're connecting with or being at a room, with complete strangers. And feeling comfortable to talk about to talk about, you know, the things you're interested in. I think it's been really.
It's been really enlightening for myself to kind of even express what it is that I know. And actually, again, a bit more confidence, and, and the information that I've learned through the years. So, yeah, man, it's been a, it's been my hell of a ride, but I'm glad to be where we are right now. Hey, are you looking to invest in Bitcoin? Coin Flip is the
easiest way to buy. Coin Flip ATMs let you trade cash directly for crypto. And you can get started with as little as $5. You heard that right. $5. Use discount code NWAR29 in the." IER29 for 10% off any transaction at a coin Flip ATM. Find a coin Flip ATM location near you at coinflip.tech. That's COINFLIP.TCH. CoinFlip.tech. Don't forget, use that discount code. I know that's right,
man. Shout out to um, Zay... I, uh, I want to see you. I want to see you. Sure. I'm going to release a little something out for y'all in a couple months, but shout out to Zay, um, when a lot of people in this space were ignoring me when I was reaching out to them, trying to get my show off the ground. Nice. Yeah. Like I
said, I release something to y'all in a couple, you know, a couple weeks, a couple months, let y'all know what's popping. But shout out to Zay. He's a real good dude, man. And over and down. Always down for the culture. And, uh, shout out to CJ, the smart guy, because I had him on a couple weeks ago. And he said that he got in the Bitcoin
for the exact same reason you did that he watched the movie dope. And that was the first thing that he heard about it. So now I got to go watch this movie again. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. It's, I mean, it's a brief thing. It's a brief moment, man. And, um, but it's, uh, it's really cool. I think, uh, what's his name? Bitcoin vegan.
Uh, he mentioned it as well. And, uh, you know, shout out to Bitcoin vegan shout out to CJ, the smart guy. I, I, again, if it wasn't for Clubhouse, I don't think, I don't think we would have connected the way we did in the very, again, short amount of time. And, uh, again, shout out to Zay again for, you know, connecting with you. And, um, it's
just, it's just so many great people that are, are, are, you know, just sharing their perspectives and people are gravitating towards them. And, um, you know, they're being seen. And especially, you know, people of color, you know, black people, specifically, you know, we have been so marginalized throughout the years. And this is an opportunity, you know, uh, there's, there's a number of different narratives as far
as what Bitcoin could be or what it is. And, um, you know, every person has their reason of why they invest or why they trade. Or why they hold. And, you know, getting people to understand and see the bigger picture of, of what's happening behind the scenes without, um, them thinking we're some, uh, crazy person that's just kind of jumping into this pyramid scheme. Because again,
I've, I've seen the different layouts of how people of kind of explained it in certain ways to where it could come off as that, right? Because they don't understand. The, the big picture or the technology behind what it is that that has been created. Um, but again, there are, there are others that explain in the way that you can really grasp or understand. Um, for example,
like Bitcoin's a Bitcoin and black America is a great representation of that. You know, he kind of puts it in a way for people of, for black people to understand like, you need to get on this now. And, um, really understand the importance of where we've been and where we're headed. And if you don't understand that now, you're, you may not necessarily feel it, but your
next generation or you're, you know, the generation after your grandchildren, they may feel it or whatever the case may be. So just understanding where we are. Um, it's, it's just really important. And I think it, you know, if it wasn't for me kind of going down that rabbit hole for myself to really. Understand, you know, the financial system of, of not only just the United States,
but the world. Um, if it wasn't for that, I don't think I would have had the opportunity to, to really, or care to understand it, you know. Yeah, definitely. So tell me what you're working on right now, brother. What are you, what are you up to? Uh, either in the Bitcoin slash cryptocurrency or. Personal life space. Right now. Um, and I'm, I've been really focused on
being present for my daughter. Um, that's, that's been my, my biggest thing. Seeing her moments and just seeing how she learns, finding out, you know, our personality, seeing it happen every day. I have a few things. Um, that, you know, a couple other potential, say, a, a, a lot of things. Dreams or, uh, things I'm interested in that I also want to kind of explore as
well. But right now, um, I'm really focused on her and just kind of seeing, you know, just watching real time how she develops, because I've heard so many, you know, people or parents say that they, they miss so much or they didn't have the opportunity to see certain things and, um, you know, the pandemic allowed us to really sit through. She was born. Um, November 23rd,
2019, just before, um, things kind of hit the fan and, you know, pretty much we've were in quarantine just every day, every day, just watching her and, um, but yeah, I'm really interested in just kind of developing, uh, and investing into her development, man. Um, and just again, um, I'm a first time, first dad, first time, uh, experiencing this. And there's a lot of, a lot
of learning. Uh, and you have, you have a couple of girl, you have any kids? You have four. Okay. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You got what? Two boys or girls? I got three girls. One boy. Three girls. One boy. Okay. So yeah. Yeah. A girl, a girl. I can dig it. I can dig it, man. Yeah. I'm, I'm definitely enjoying the process and just again, man.
I'm, um, I'm looking forward to it. I'm not sure. Before, you know, when or if we have, you know, another one, but, um, I'm definitely, um, enjoying the, the process of, of becoming, of being a father, you know, and, um, just, again, learning it. Not only about my, about her, but learning about myself and, um, you know, I definitely didn't crypto, you know, to, to have
the ability to just kind of trade anywhere to do it. And, you know, that's my time and that was my biggest thing, you know, when I was on set, you know, I was on set, you know, I was on set. I realized, you know, it would be on set for hours, right? You could be on set for 12 hours or, or even, I'm a, well, even
longer, depending on, you know, what's happening. And, um, yeah, I just, I knew I had to pivot. Uh, and I wasn't sure where the, the role was going to leave me, but I'm glad where I'm at right now. I'm happy, uh, with the, you know, the people I've connected with, um, the relationships and, and, um, yeah, it's been, again, it's been one hell of a ride.
But I'm glad to be here. That's what's up, brother. So look, man, tell folks where we can find you online. Give us all your social media, contact info so that we can reach out to you if we have more questions. Got you. Yeah. So, um, interested in following me. Of course, I am on Twitter. Um, my handle and information is Johnny crypto three. That's on Twitter.
And if you're looking to email me, um, my email is the one crypto trader at gmail.com. Um, and yeah, I'm actually looking to, we have a telegram group. Um, it's called hashtag alt season. And we also have a club on clubhouse, uh, which is the exact same hashtag alt season. And, um, currently actually, um, creating a discord community to just, um, specifically like focus on everything
crypto trading mainly, um, different setups. Um, you know, we have different, um, lot programs that we have offering as well for just kind of get you to, you know, inter certain positions or exit certain positions. Um, just to kind of assist with, you know, your, your journey, but it's not, uh, everything's pretty much free at this point. Um, and, and again, it's just to really educate
people to understand. This opportunity, you know, not everyone has, um, you know, 15 million like, uh, Michael sailor to just dump into the market. Some people are starting a lot smaller and, you know, want to build up. So, you know, just teaching people the basics, you know, and just kind of go back to something that I wish I understood before I actually getting involved into any
type of investing or just the crypto space in general. But, um, understanding market cycles, right, understanding where we are, um, and where we're headed. Um, and where we've been, where we come from, uh, you know, right now, we're in a full cycle. And we had a bare cycle for, you know, two years, 2018, 2019 was, was interesting time. So, you know, there were some ups and
downs, but pretty much we, we were preparing for this big massive run up that we're seeing or the surge of, um, volume or money flowing into the markets now. So, um, you know, just understanding market cycles and market psychology. I love to preach those all the time, just so for people to understand that not just only in crypto, but just in every market, if even the
housing market, right, trying to understand, oh, what's the good time for me to buy home or, you know, buy a house, you know, um, yeah, there's, there's so many opportunities, um, out there, when it comes to investing. And, you know, the doing it the right way, um, I think will allow you to just kind of see. The potential out there, right? You know, you, you could
cash out, um, at the bottom, and you're not necessarily seeing, you know, the, the profits that you were expected, or if you do cash out at the top, you know, you'll have a more positive experience and be ready or willing to, to do it again, right? And that could be another career that could be anything for you. So, um, I, um, I, uh, I, uh, I,
uh, I, uh, I, uh, I, uh, uh, uh, I, uh, uh, uh, uh, I, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh I think it's just, you know, really understanding that timing is so important, um, with it, with just pretty much everything. But, um, yeah,
I, I just love the challenge. People to kind of go down from that rabbit hole of understanding, you know, different markets. So let me ask you one last question, brother. Which, which guy? Where do you see the future of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in the next three to five years? Man, the next three to five years for this tech, um, I'm really excited. Um, I
don't know exactly where we're headed. I just know that it's going to disrupt a lot of different industries. Um, and there will be some hesitation. There, I think there will be some type of, uh, crash, maybe within the main, you know, stock market. Um, but we'll see. I know that there will be, um, a lot of opportunities for, you know, people to, um, um, get degrees
in the blockchain tech, tech, uh, workspace, um, either creating or coding, uh, or even if they don't necessarily have a degree, right? There's a lot of people that are, um, learning on their own, right? They're going to YouTube University and they're, uh, connecting with other coders and just learning, um, you know, on their own. I think there's a lot of power within that and, uh, you
know, being your own boss and finding, um, or creating the opportunities versus looking for the opportunities. Um, that there's a lot of power and, uh, just, you know, being your own boss. So, um, yeah, adoption is happening slowly but surely it's, it's kind of funny that, you know, CNBC, everything that's been coming out has been positive. Uh, and in previous years, everything was pretty much, you
know, negative or shundrapon, you know, in the space. So, um, I think there will be more positive positivity as we continue to, um, move in this space. And, um, you know, when, when we're seeing like countries actually adopting, um, Bitcoin as, uh, you know, a potential, a potential currency, right? And I'm saying it will be a currency or, I know it is considered, you know, now
a store of value. Um, but I think Bitcoin has the flexibility technology has the flexibility to be more than just this one thing. And that's what that's where we've, I feel, I feel as if we've gone wrong as people put these titles on the screen. So, these ideas and they have to be strict or, uh, rigid to where it can, it can't be multiple things for
based off of, you know, how people use it, right? So, um, yeah, I'm just looking forward to seeing, you know, these, these, these countries that have, say, suffer like Venezuela, um, you know, Nigeria. Um, I think, you know, I'm always looking at the information that's coming out of Nigeria and the resources that are pouring. And then, um, I think, um, I think Africa is the next
big play as far as people, um, adopting crypto. I think that the, the African people, um, will adopt it faster. Uh, of course, with the technology, hopefully that, you know, that they will. I'm looking at the core life of the, um, of what's happening, um, in the, in the countries in Africa, because there's a lot of development, um, and a very short amount of time. So
the next, you know, five, uh, three to five years. Um, I, I just see a lot of, um, more opportunities. I see, you know, um, our financial sector changing in, in different ways. I don't know what that's going to look like, um, but I'm interested in seeing how it kind of unfolds. I think it's more about the growth and faster ways, um, or easier ways for
people to, um, protect their holdings, uh, outside of just, you know, buying a wallet and, you know, um, what happens, you know, if you say, lose your, your keys or you lose your, um, uh, see phrase, like what, what, what will be the, the next wave of ways to recover that data or information. So, you know, I'm sure there will be other on ramps to, um,
make things easier for people to, um, you know, protect themselves and, and, uh, invest. And, um, yeah, I think that's, I think that's a really great question. But I'm interested in seeing how it all unfolds, um, just overall. But I know that, you know, Black people will, I, or I, I hope Black people, more Black people will take advantage of this opportunity that we have, um,
end the, those, you know, yeah. Yeah. Hey, man, I want to take a moment to thank you for joining me today, brother. I really do appreciate your time, man. Dante is a pleasure of you being here, man. I appreciate you reaching out to me. Um, I, I knew it was going to be a good time. And, uh, yeah, I look forward to the next one. I
definitely look forward to the next one. Counting. I'm going to bring my man with me so that we can talk about the next program. Hey, there we go, man. That's what I talk. Yeah.
