Show #494: The Braves Win Game One of the NLCS

There will be Panda. And he didn't even flinch when that ball hit him, which was kind of cool. Did a great job. He did. He did. He took one right off the flipper there. Off the un, you know, elbow-guarded, whatever, forearm. All right folks, in tonight's show, it is game-mode. Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers, and we will break it all down. But first,

Until it wasn't. Until, you know, yeah. And Trinon was just rattled after that Riley home run. Well, we're deep line up too. Right? I mean, everyone talks about how endless the Dodgers lineup isn't God. It felt like it tonight. When Kiki Hernandez is the one hitting homeers, you're like, good God, it's an infinite lineup, you know. And you can't let it go. Let Kiki beat you.

You cannot, which we did. That is the oldest adage in baseball. Yes. And then old Braves team would have done that. Not this Braves team. Not this. It did sort of smack of like Scott Brochus or some guy who was some light hitting middle infield or hitting some huge home run off the Braves and the postseason. And that just dooming them. And of course it is

just it's a game, you know, the magnification of it is can't be simplified. But, you know, I mean, guys will hit home run. But guys, at about 230, all season long and hit five home runs will hit home runs in games. And sometimes they happen to be in game one of the in LCS. Oh, wow. It's all tingly. Unbelievable. Probably won't make a lot of points

tonight. We'll just ramble and talk about how good we feel. So we're just living me up at this point. Exactly. You guys gave me a hard time during the Marlin series when I was. Loving on the, you know, the shots of them sad at the top of the steps. But boy, I loved the shots of the Dodgers sad at the top of the steps tonight. Yeah,

I hate the judges. I mean, seriously. I wanted to punch every single one of their players in the face. Over and over again as well. Okay. So let's let's walk through the game. There was a lot to get through. A lot happened. Okay. So top of the first, Akunya first pitch out. Mm hmm. Not amazing. But when, but not a strikeout. Well, not a strikeout. I

mean, you know, he did give it a little bit of a ride. Yeah. But, and then speaking of someone given it a ride. Yes. And what, I mean, what just a great calming and not just for the players, but mostly for us. Start of the game. For Freddie to hit a home or for the phrase to have a lead before Max is out there. I said

it on last night's show. It's, I mean, we all talk about not wanting the walks and not a lot of traffic on the basis. But Freddie to hit for me was something that was going to make me feel good. So out of the gate, I was feeling really good. Well, I think, I think it, you know, to your point, Steve, maybe the contrary, but I guarantee

you that this is a very loose team that loosened him up a lot more. Getting a ride. And then the first inning, having Freddie Freeman who, you know, did not have a great postseason so far, be the guy that gets the home run in the first inning off of, you know, work or who looked pretty dominant for the game other than the walks. Yeah. And that,

and that pitch. You know, and look, the team is very loose. I mean, the broadcast really did a good job of capturing that early on in the game showing warm up. And, and, and, Acunia dancing and, you know, Acunia celebration after Freddie's Homer. And it certainly got looser and looser. You know, in the ninth inning. But yeah, this team feels good. You know, they are not

overwhelmed by the moment for sure. Not at all. So, okay. And then Bueller became Bueller again in a zoon of grounded out and Ozzy grounded out and we're on to the bottom of the first. And Max looks. Um, really good at first. Right. Ninety five miles per hour to strike out. Mookie, a curve to strike out. Seeker. Then a single to turn her a walk the

months. A month. A month. A who hasn't hit the ball all postseason or regular. Really all season. Yep. Yeah. Finally strikes out. Will Smith. But Max is at 28 pitches. Oh, I'm actually thought about you. Because it's a point. Yeah. Thanks. Well, I was just so happy for you after Freddie hit the ball. Thank you. Thank you. And the show, not just me, but the show

in general. Yeah. Sure. But you have talked about it has been a bit of the blueprint for the starting pitchers. This off season is a little shake in the beginning. High pitch count in the beginning. And then they settle down. And I was like, okay. Well, the bad parts happened. Let's see. You know, if you can follow suit. I know we sound a lot alike. I

feel like that was me. No, I said, I, no, I really think it was. We sort of tend to make the same points over and over. And since we just talked about the braves. That's true. Since we have one topic on our show. We shouldn't share our notes quite so much. Yeah. And, and, and you, Kurt, you did. I mean, you recently brought it up the

whole glaven effect, right? And you referenced him. But I mean, it's a point that's been made a lot. Stevie and not to, it's a good point. Right. It's a good point. And, um, you know, and free did that in the against the Marlins and then continued to not look so good. It wasn't. Yeah. So just even though we got out of that first inning, still feeling

a little dicey and like, God, I was so worried about bets. Because he got caught out on that third strike, which was just like, was a perfect pitch. And you could see it in his eyes. Like, I'm not going to get caught out on that pitch again. Right. So you could just end. I mean, the whole, he and Belinger scared me the most of that team

and Turner, just because he feels like he just owns us. He's on an 11 game history against us. Um, anyway. I don't spoil anything, but you know, bets going over four being held to over four. Pretty nice. We'll work in our favor. It really does sort of help the cause. Um, okay. So on to the second dance. We strike out. And then, you know, pivotal huge

moment in the game. And the series honestly is Duval swings and then grabs, you know, his side right above his waist. And he's gone. Yeah. Right. I mean, he leaves the game. Uh, Snittker says an inning later in the in game interview that, um, it's an oblique and it's bad. You know, when they actually give you some information. And it's really bad. Like before the end

of the game. Right. And he's not pulling punch. Like, well, we'll see, you know, he's going to run out there tomorrow and we'll stretch him out and see what happens when he's like, no, no, no, he's done for the year. You know, it's bad. So let's talk about that for a second. So let's assume that Duval, you know, he's done. Right. So if you drop him

from the roster, one, it means that he can't come back in the next series. Okay. So you're done with Duval for the rest of the season. Who replaces him? It's gotta come on. I'll go first. I think it's gotta be enter. Right. I mean, it's one of the two guys just say, comargo, you need to replace him with an outfielder. And, you know, I will get

to it later in the show. But all the, you know, I'm going to be able to do that. Pinch hitting and removing guys. I mean, the outfield was a horror show at the end of the game. Seems like it seems like enter shows up tomorrow. I don't know. Do you guys see it any different? I mean, if it's truly a serious, right? It's just that this

is over in two weeks, isn't it? Essentially the whole world series. So, I mean, how effective is Duval? He wasn't even effective. You know, obviously coming in, but how effective is he recovering from that? So I think he's done, but God, what a... It's bad enough. We have to bat, we have to bat Marquay Kiss. Now we have to choose between enter and comargo. Good God.

It's scary. Um... Well, I feel like you go with comargo. I feel like just maybe, and just sort of patch it together defensively. And maybe you just have more hope offensively, but not much. I mean, you're really... You're up against it, making those... I mean, yeah. And it was... Well, yeah. I mean, I guess if you brought comargo up, you could move Riley to the outfield.

Ryan and comargo plays third. Yeah. Or panda plays third. I'm just reading Snickers post game comments. I don't have anything yet on Adam. I don't expect the outcome to be good. Yeah. Again, when... Seriously, we're promising. Yeah. Okay. So it becomes Kristen Pashe time who, you know, replaces Duval with a one and two count. And displays like amazing plate discipline and walks. Yeah. And some good...

We really fought off some good pitches too. I mean, Bueller was dealing. Yeah. It was really terrific. Kakes strikes out. That will become a theme. And looking... Looking, yeah. Just an awful at bat. Takes two ninety seven miles. And then it's just a two hour fastballs down the middle, which will also be a theme. And then swings at a ball that goes like 52 feet. So

I'm wondering if this is the end of Markekis as the everyday outfielder for the braves in the post season. This season you're talking. I don't know. I'm just curious. Did you listen to... I know you were reading while Steve and I were talking. Did you hear that last part around Inder and comargo being our only other options? You have Pashe up. So you could start a

Riley Pashe Akunya outfield. Or you could throw Inder in that mix. If he's the kind that you bring up. But I just... It seemed when Markekis got pinch hit four later in the game that that might have been for boating sides. Yeah. I just... I mean, Karna, we were texting about that earlier. I don't know how... What am I trying to say? I'm not sure. I'm

not sure that it's... Telling us, Snickers, like not starting him tomorrow. It was against the lefty, right? Righties are the only ones that Markekis can hit. And he can't hit them anymore. Can he really... He really hasn't hit lefties for years. So... It's just his... His at bats were... were atrocious. I mean, it just balls right down the middle that he... He struck out looking on

a ball that was belt high right down the middle. They were unprofessional at batskirt. No, he had a very professional tap back to the map. And he was found for his last at bat. Alright, so we go to bottom second. And we'll freed bounce back. So... Ozzy makes a great play on a Belinger hit in the hole at second. Who also went 0 for 4? Yep.

Pollock single. Strike out of Kiki. Really nice 12-6 curve. But Max is missing inside, right? He's throwing a lot of pitches. He walks Taylor, the number 9 hitter. So it's first and second. With two outs, Mookie comes up. And to me, I'm like, this is a huge home. I watch it with like my eyes squinted in my fingers over my face. Yep. And he induces a

fly out by Mookie and he's out of it. So he's now at 45 pitches through two. Alright, top three, Akunya Strike out. Freddie Walk. And you know, Bueller's pitch count is not amazing either. He's at 57 through three. Bottom three, all the sudden, freed is locked in. Seager strikes out looking. Turner ground out. Muncie Strike out. 12 pitches for the third inning. He's now only at

57 through three. And has more strikeouts. And he's got a lot of pitches. That's then Bueller at this point. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. He was sensational. He was so, so, so good. And at this point, this is the innings, even you just had it, where it just something clicked in for him. And he was just doing 10 pitch innings, you know, even less all the

way through. I mean, I almost felt like he could, he almost could have come out for the seventh as good as he looked in the sixth. Yeah. He looked sensational. I mean, I know his pitch. He was up to the, you know, almost 100. And he was, he was like, he was like, I'm sure this is a good one. And he was like, I'm sure he

was, I'm sure he was, I'm sure he was. And he was like, well, he's got a lot of pitches. But he looked great, great, great. So where are we? So top four. Ozzy strikes out, but it is a long at bat. Which probably leads to the walk for Dan's B who then steals a base. Peshay walks. So now it's two on one out. Another terrible strikeout

by Cakes just looking. But Peshay with two, I know you tweeted it, but Peshay with two. Two based on balls in his first two at bats in that situation. Having had four at bats all season long and coming in with that one and two count in the end of in the first. I was just joking. The play was amazing. It was awesome. I was surprised that

they actually was sort of surprised that they pulled him that they felt compelled to pinch in for him. You know, well, I will get there. But he was really overmatched and is at bat before. Yeah. You know, I mean, I think that's a good thing. All right, Riley fly out to end the inning. Bueller is at 84 pitches through four and five walks. Bottom rear high.

We really could have should have knocked Bueller out after five here, but it was a nine pitch inning for Bueller. Acunius strike out, Freddie ground out. Ozzyn in line out. He's now only at 94 through five. But Azuna just broke the ball again. He did. That was the one to turn her, right? Yes. Yes. Yeah. I think Kurt. I don't know. No, it was the liner

to end the ending in the ending, right? Right to him. Yeah, yeah, that's right. That's right. He caught it like sort of crouch down. So bottom five, it, you know, it was Max's one mistake that they took advantage of. Maybe he had a couple of more, but Kiki Hernandez home run in his first start of the postseason. And I did let a little of the boy

old braves creeping in. No bad luck stuff. Kurt, like you said, right, that it's, you know, like it's a Scott Broche's moment. But then freed recovers, Taylor ground out, Mookie ground out, Seager or ground ball to Riley that Riley just couldn't handle. There was a rocket. That was a tough play. And it was state down. Yeah. And then Justin Turner hits, hits another hard ground ball.

Dan's be plays it deep in the hole and tosses to Ozzy. At second and gets Seager out. God. I thought. I'm safe at first that the, the, in the regular speed, he looked like he had beat the throw and then saw the replay. And he was out by three or four inches. Yeah. No, in slow motion. I was surprised how, how out. It just felt like

it took Dan's be just a little bit of a moment to get it out. Adjust and flick it. And it just felt like you didn't have enough on it. You know, I was sure that he was safe. Yeah. But he was not. And free. Does it 81 pitches through five? So top six, Bueller, like we said, he's in there. He's now in the mid 90s. Darnell

single, Ozzy single, Bueller's gone. Gratterall is in. And this was another like bad moment. I thought for the braids. Dan's be, right. He's the first batter that Gratterall faces with first and second Dan's be first pitch shallow fly. Yeah. He was sitting fast. While he knew it was coming and it just was up and out. And he just got a bad angle on it. And you

know, it killed that inning. And Dan's be the last, you know, hope real, real hitter, real hitter until a canya. What's up Riley? I guess. So then Pasha gets carved up on three pitches by Gratterall. And that's what I was talking about. I think it was, I think Snitker saw that. It was like, I just can't, I just can't. Yeah. Fair enough. Well, Gratterall is nasty.

Gratterall was just unbelievable. Yeah. And then Cakes grounds out. Was that the weak ground out to the pitcher? It was professional. Professional hitter right back to the mound after. At least he made contact. I mean, he's true. Yeah. Yeah. Can't take that away from that. I think my wife actually said that is if he's like five years old playing Little League. Wait, hit the ball. Yeah.

Yay. My wife who was watching and doing other stuff and watching said, why is he always up when it matters? And I was like, I think that is very insightful. Yes. Yes. That is collecting for a brave nation. One of the exact same. Exactly. Exactly. So when, what was it? It was when there was a couple on and, and, you know, Mookie flew out to end

the inning. Whatever ending that was, my wife, you know, it was a big moment in the game, right? My wife turned to me and said, I'm so glad Chip wasn't calling that fly. That's like honey. So good. Well, I like that we've worked all three wives into this show. Yeah. Be a first for ABT. Yes. All right. So bottom six, free to still in. Muncie strikeout

Smith strikeout. Belinger fly to Dan's B. And Max has just dominated six innings, four hits, one earned two strike, two walks, nine strikeouts, 96 pitches, just spectacular. And yet, you know, I'm actually a Joe Buck fan. I know everyone hates Joe Buck, but I really actually think he's a very good announcer. But God, if I had to listen to one more word about how great the

Dodgers were and how everything. There was so little. About the Braves. It was just constant Dodgers talk, the entire game, even from Smolts. It was just, you know, oh, well, look at this. This is I'm up and these pictures and all this kind of stuff. And it just seemed like it just lacked. I don't know. Curtis, I was listening for that because you were you were

texting that I heard. There was certainly those moments, but there was also like we talked about the moments of how loose the Braves are. You know, there's a lot of praise of Snicker, a lot of talking about how good that their pitching is and their offense and they both have great offenses. I think, I think because I hate the Dodgers so much, I hear that more

too. But I don't know. It didn't feel as in the past when we would be playing it to a clock, right? And like nobody watching it would be a love fest for the other team, no matter who we were playing. It felt more balanced tonight. I don't know. I lean more toward you on this than Ham. I don't know. A lot of slaubering over Dave Roberts.

And just how great the Dodgers are. And I mean, they went, whatever. I did the favorite. Yeah. What did they go? 43 and 17 or something like that? I mean, they're good. But they gave the Braves their props. I mean, you're right. Maybe you, you know, 70% 60% talking about how good the Dodgers were because they earned it and all that. But there was the moments

where they, they were appreciating what the Braves had done. Both those guys moments when the Braves were doing great things. And they actually had to recognize that. I think it was. Yeah. All right, whatever. We'll go back to the tape. All right. Top seven. We are still tied. One, one Dustin May is in. So right. We had talked about grader all in May is guys who

were possible starters for games three and four. I'm guessing they're just keeping gauntzlin and you're reiss for games three and four and and grader all in May will be out of the bullpen. And we'll see if that plays out. So Dustin May is just filthy and untouchable in the center. It's just like arms and legs just all in hair. I mean, just the craziest looking thing

and a hundred miles per hour and ridiculous movement. Yeah. So Riley strikes out. Acuna actually drives it to the deepest part of the park. But it is just a harmless fly ball. Freddie grounds out seven pitches for Dustin May in the seventh. Do we know what? Why they chose these parks and not even that this park. It's dimensions are huge and all that kind of stuff.

I mean, I missed why they picked these particular. Well, I think it was picking two cities that had two parks close ish together in warm weather. You know what I mean? Like sure. Yeah. I mean, I think that's it. Right. There's, you know, it won't give me New York or Chicago. They couldn't do Florida because of the COVID numbers there. Like it. Well, it is. Tampa

and Tampa and Miami aren't close at all. So right. And Tampa should have done. Right. They don't want to. What's that? And Tampa's stadiums just right. Right. And I can say him as Oakland's guess they couldn't do San Fran and Oakland. I was just curious. I mean, yeah. So bottom seven. Like we said, Max has done for the night. Chris Martin is in. And he deals.

Pollock fly out. Kiki fly out. Taylor strike out. Martin looks great. It just keeps going. Yep. So top of the eighth lot of stuff happened on the top of the eighth year. So more Dustin May. Oh, it's gonna leads off with a double. Darnell grounds out to the third base side. No advance of the runner. More braves baseball in 2020. Ozzy walks. I'm sorry. Ozzy strikes

out. I'd written on ball four. It was ball four. The worst strike out. Yeah, it almost hit him. Yeah, exactly. And there was one. And I thought I don't remember if it was Joe or or Smolts that said it, but it was really a good point that he had decided he was going to swing. Yeah. There was no going back. Right. Well, and they had one

defensive lineup for Ozzy. Where the where Turner was like right of shortstop. Yeah. I mean, I was just thinking, why doesn't Ozzy just lay a bunch down the third base? Well, because I don't think they go into that alignment curtain till it's two strikes. They move at two strikes. Maybe. Well, the shift is not as severe until later in the count. No, and the shift is

not as severe with a Zuna on second. Right. Because if they shift with a Zuna on second, he steals third. So they so Turner had to play closer to third. Ozzy. I would have taken third. So that's why he was able to get that hit the first time up the Oppo single. Right. Still he's playing D. P. He's playing off the line. Give it a shot,

especially if this moment, the bunting thing. I mean, absolutely. Why not? And is that is that the, you know, the code like don't bump against the shift or some nonsense like that? I mean, McCann was bunning against the shift last year when they were doing it to him. So why can't Ozzy do it this year? Because because they don't bump, you know what I mean? Like,

I don't think they're going to pull out a weapon that they've not used and they're not probably practicing much. And maybe say it's a whole run. It's a saying that Ozzy obviously cannot throw it on a drag. But I don't think that's a good point. I hear you. So, okay. So what do we got? It is two outs. Ozzy was still on second. So they walked

down to me to get to Pache and they pinch it, Pache for Panda. Which, you know, I was like, well, that's why we got him. This is the moment. I mean, this is the moment. Pache got so carved up and his last step at I did not hate this move. And there's two outs here. There's two outs. That's right. That's right. You're right. You're right. It

is not a bad. So Panda gets hit by Pitch on his, on his, you know, on his unprotected arm. Doesn't, doesn't flinch. So now they bring in Gonzales, who's a lefty to face cakes. And they pinch it for cakes. And we're bringing Colverson. So we would rather, I mean, what a, what a, what a, I mean, I guess it's the move, but so please choice. What

a, what a move to what a place to get thrown in there. I mean, the bigger thing is, you've now removed your center fielder. Right? Because Panda comes in for Pache. And I get it, I get it, that cakes is never, ever, ever going to get a hit off that lefty. But now you're, you know, you're removing your right fielder as well. It was, I mean,

the defense became really scary. After this. So Colverson pinch hits and strikes out again. What a, you know, what a very difficult position Colverson had fought off some pitches. Didn't just go down swinging. Yeah. In the back of my mind, I was like, Charlie, that's here we go, baby. It really would have been Hollywood stuff for Panda or Colverson to get a hit. Sure. Honestly. But

okay. So a whole lot of action and a whole lot of nothing coming out of the top of the eighth. So bottom eighth, we've now got an outfield of Riley and left. Acunion center Colverson and right. So Riley has left third. Panda's a third. It is not like we drew it up. So Will Smith is in. And he's facing the back. Just pulling out a spring

training, just like we were coming out of the spring. Just like our pitching staff. Yeah. Yeah. And Smith mows down bets and seeker and Turner. You know, I mean, the, the bullpen keeps delivering. And those are the guys. Yeah. That's why they're here. Those three guys. Are you talking about the Dodgers three guys or are three guys? No, Martin Smith and then Melanson. Yeah, it's just

dominating. We were better than them. We were tonight. We were in every facet. You know, even even when, and that's the thing, you know, they're, they talk about their depth and the versatility of their lineup. And it is a tough lineup. But like you, you know, there's, you could only put so many people in the field at a time. And obviously we put every single player

in our bench out there today. We were just down to flowers. We were just down to flowers. But we were better than they were. Our bullpen was much, much better than they were. And our starters freed was much better. Both in this game and also how he set up the rest of the series by going six. You know, I don't know. It's yeah. No, no, no.

I mean, it was another good point that that that Joe and and and Smoltz made is, you know, if you get into the Braves bullpen early, I mean, the same thing we said about the Dodgers. You know, it really changes the complexion of the of the rest of the series. And and Max held up his end of the bargain. Yeah. A seven games and seven day

series is crazy. Yeah. That's going to be a stressful week or four days. Top nine trinons in who's really the gem, you know, I mean, he is the guy now. And of course, Austin, rather leads off of the home run. And it is just a Titanic shot. Freddy's was Titanic too. His was a shot. And then Riley's was surpassed by that by a lot. It was

crazy. How how much how obvious that was my dog agree. So you need to don't talk about Austin Riley. Sorry. I'm going to have to go on you. And obviously, what just a massive game changer. We have a one run lead in the ninth inning. And then Trinon is rattled, I would say. Okay. Akunya doubles beauty, beautiful shot into the gap. Freddy actually moved him over

to third with a sack fly. With a towering sack fly. Yeah. 406 feet something. And then O'Zuna comes through with a single ride. It was an opposite, right. It was like right field. Yeah. opposite field. Yeah. And they, you know, they clearly have not watched much of the postseason with a Zina because he's a big fan of the high field. And he's kind of right field

so often. And their shift is ridiculous. I mean, it's all three guys on the left side of the infield. It just makes no sense. Keep doing it. Yeah. That's a problem. Um, so now it is three one. We've knocked out Trinon. Jake McGee, the lefty is in. So we've turned OZ around. He's on the right side of the play. And OZ crushes a two run homer.

Well, I and. My son was watching with me. And when he missed, um, that, you know, his best swing of the night was the pitch before that that he missed that he swung through. And I was like, ooh, that was a good swing from OZI. He's going to do some damage here. And then next pitch, he just crushed it. No question. So great. And it's like,

and it boasts well for tomorrow against Kershaw. And, you know, like, I mean, I, because I was, I was about to text you guys that OZI needs to find a pulse. You know, he's like, he got that single. And, but he's had some, you know, offensively, he's just needs to contribute. And I was excited to see him turn around and boy, howdy. Well, and that put

the game completely away. Yeah. And Mellanson did what he has done this entire postseason, which was just. Dominate TCB take care of business. Yep. Yeah. Hold action. Hold on. Nothing, baby. And here we are. We have now won our third game. We have won the first game of the postseason. We all love tomorrow's matchup, or maybe it's just me. No. Yeah. I mean, I just, I

just love Ian Anderson and the spot tomorrow. It's my SITD, baby. Hey, I picked that we would win the first two games. That is true. All right, guys, let's wrap up tonight's game and look to game two right after this quick break. So all of the games that I'm going to play today are going to be in the next game. All of the pressures on the

Dodgers now. Right. I mean, not just that they're the home team, or they have home field advantage. You know, they're, they lost the, their ace lost the first game. But they also just feel the pressure like the Braves would in the, you know, in the 90s and the 2000s of we've been here a ton. You know, we can't not make it to the World Series. And

not win it. And here we are down. I mean, I just, what a massive momentum shift getting game one is. Yep. And it just like it did in the past two series takes all the pressure off of Anderson. It allows him to go out there and just deal. Just throw it, you know. And I think he's going to rise to the case. And I just feel

confident in that. And I think, you know, Kershaw was lights out in the first game, but not lights out. Right. He gave up three runs. And I could say, yeah, in the second game. Yeah. I mean, that he's pitched in the postseason, right? And so I could see him, you know, I could see it's putting three, two or three, a crooked number across early in the

I mean, I don't know if I'd say they're available. I'd say my Lance is available. But then we've got Mint or Green. You know, we've so much there. So, yeah. Martin, through the game, through

14, Will Smith through 13, Melanson through nine. Yeah. Yeah. No, look, if, if, if, if, if, if, if Snicker wants to use those guys tomorrow, he will. I mean, my God, he announced today that, that, that, Dar knows, going to start every game. I love it. I don't know if you guys saw that. Yeah. Yeah. So, go ahead. Well, I was just going to say, I

mean, we just sort of outdo the, the Dodger. You know, the, I talked about some of these numbers yesterday with, with the Ks versus the walks. I mean, they struck out 12 times or 11 times today. Obviously, we struck out 12 times. But I mean, that's sort of more going with the Braves. But we only gave up two walks. They walked six Braves today. And obviously

the home runs, the Dodgers hit more home runs than anybody this year. And was, I certainly expressed it yesterday was sort of worried about that. This big part not giving up home runs. Well, proven wrong clearly in the first game of this series. So, but they did look tight, you know, and we'll see we, this is also an eight game win streak that they just lost.

And they looked forward to learn at the end of this game. I obviously, you know, they, they, they'll, they can bounce back. But we'll see how they handle some adversity. You know, that it's like the 98 Braves, which frankly to me, I've said it a million times was the rest of the teams that the Braves had and couldn't get past that San Diego team that, you

know, just came out and shook it to them immediately. And, and they could never get on track in that series. So, that was me. I said that. Sure you did. Yeah. Um, and, you know, we'll see how the, the Dodgers respond coming out and jumping on Kershaw tomorrow would really be something special. Yes. So guys, tomorrow will be the first day of the postseason that there's

some drama around what the lineup is. in there. Or is it come on, you know, is it Riley and left and Pandan? Or, yeah, I mean, I don't know. Yeah, you got to figure Riley is going to bat seventh, right? I mean, at least he's going to move up where Duval was hitting. Yeah. Probably. I mean, yeah. I mean, I'm going to be able to get

back to the line. And if it's Pashay or Ender, I don't think it will be both in the lineup. They will be, you know, eight and nine, eight or nine. Yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, so it's. So, it's, so Acunia is the given, right? That's all we know. And so if it's not cakes or Duval, it's got to be it's what you put Pandan third

and Riley out there with Ender or Pashay. It's possible. I, I'm not going to say that I'm going to be able to get back to the line. I honestly think though that cakes still gets the start. Yeah, it's just on the building there. You're right. I think Pashay, I think cakes is and left and Pashay is and right. Although they actually put Pashay in center and

moved Acunia to right, which is, you know, so regardless. I think the outfield is Acunia, Pashay and cakes and Ender's on the bench. I really do. Yeah, we'll be interesting. Could cakes at least just just work. We get six pitches from the pitcher, just at least make the pitcher throw more pitches. Can we ask for that? Is there a way to get the message? So we
