was actually told I had diabetes which was inaccurate that's when I went and found a functional medicine doctor but even the functional medicine doctor said until we get this under control I want to put you on some metformin and what's interesting is my hemoglobin A1c wasn't even that high it's just that my testosterone was really high so the metformin actually helps to not only bring down

your hemoglobin A1c but it brings down testosterone ultimately so that was one of the reasons for me that we started off on Metformin I've taken berberine berberine can be controversial it's a supplement it's amazing it will help to lower your blood sugar but you can't take it while you're on other um blood sugar medications so be sure that you know your blood sugar and you're checking

your blood sugar and do not take it while you're on other medications unless you check with your doctor and what's interesting is my endocrinologist later ended up putting me back on Metformin because of it actually has properties that help to um prevent cancer so it's one of those medications that even functional medicine doctors a lot of times really like um so that's my my medication for

to make sure you're doing everything else first and also so exercise sleep diet is hugely important when you have PCOS so those are the things that are going to make the most difference and of course Stress Management some of you all are working out way too much so that was my journey
