we've got some big news for Verizon customers you may be getting up to a $100 back because of alleged junk fees the company settling a proposed settlement to class action lawsuit and ABC's Alexis Christoper is here now to tell us how to claim that money good morning Alexis that's right good morning Gio so some current and former Verizon Wireless customers will soon find out if they're
owed money as part of a proposed $100 million lawsuit settlement the class action lawsuit claims Verizon deceived some customers by charging them and administrative fees that were unfair and not properly disclosed Verizon denies the claims saying in a statement that it clearly identifies and describes its Wireless consumer admin charge multiple times during the sales transaction now as part of the settlement Verizon says it's made changes
to how those fees are described President Biden is urging Congress to pass laws Banning surprising or misleading fees charged by some hotels Airlines ticketing providers even Banks now to be eligible for this settlement you would have to have been a Verizon Customer with wireless or data services with a post-paid plan between January 1st 2016 and this past November 8th if you think that's you check your
inbox and your mailbox because Verizon says eligible customers are receiving postcards or emails alerting them to file a claim by the April 15th deadline you could get up to $100 that depends on how long you were with Verizon and of course how many people apply for the refund guys that's right you can't get it if you don't apply for I got an email about this I
