Thank you very much for joining me at Nostoreka for a little chastle interview about all the work you've been doing, the crazy work you've been doing or snort. It's a client which has developed very quickly and it's got a tremendous amount of support and people love it. So yeah, introduce yourself. Yeah, you've got your name and my name's Kiran. Been building snort for like two months

now. So it's been a crazy journey. Previously worked at like strike and stuff. I've been trying to get into Bitcoin and Nostore just kind of came out of nowhere and sideline me a little bit. Yeah, I've been doing development for 10 plus years or whatever and mainly in back end. So this is kind of new to me. The front end stuff. Well snort came about because

I was trying out Astral and some other clients and they just seemed very slow to me in a minute. I had a little bit of experience with React and stuff. So because I've been building projects for so long, just random, whatever projects. I kind of had a bit of experience with React. So I guess I'll just try and make one and react. It's more like a

learning thing. That's kind of here on my project scale. I just want to learn about Nostore really. I had a little bit of experience with Nostoreka. Nostoreka. So Tashi's turned up. Come on. I'm going to grab you later for it into you. Yeah, where was I? Yeah. So you wanted to, you're using as a mechanism of learning. Yeah. I think it's a great way. The great

reason start software project. Yeah. I'm a lot of a great. That's kind of where all my projects go. It's like it's more about learning, you know, trying a new thing. It's actually funny. Like I heard of Nostore, you know, back when it was originally when it was just proposed. And I didn't really like it, to be honest. Really? Yeah. What was it you didn't like about

it? And what you didn't like the server message structure? Yeah. Because it's like arrays and stuff's kind of awkward. My primary language was C-sharp. So it's kind of awkward to do like arrays, serialization. Of course C-sharp. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Is that because of the PCP server, Rockstar? Yeah. So it made sense to go to C-sharp or? Yeah, I think Rockstar is the reason for being C-sharp.

Well, I see it obviously great language, isn't it? Yeah. It's really great. Yeah. It's a lot better than people go to Ketafur. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Well, sorry. It is a lot better now to be more specific. I think it's because C-sharp developers, they have like windows on the laptops. And that puts people off. Yes. It's the like, well, you can like... I mean, it's fully cross-buff

from now. So like I use Mac all the time. Okay. Yeah. Okay. More recently, it's way better since it's on the core. So then when did... So you've heard about No Star, the protocol? You went to Keyn on it. And then was it when you had like the Jack Door, Sima Mentum? Yes. Yeah. When everyone started talking about No Star, Non-Stop, I was like, okay, I

need to look into this again. Yeah. That's when I tried out the clients. I actually used No Star Rocks. Yeah. That's like my main client at the time. And I was like, it wasn't that fast. And I was like, I could try to build, you know, a client. So yeah, here we are. I have to go. He did that's why it's like growing so quickly like

it's simplicity. Oh, absolutely. And it's like for developers, it's not... They see it and they think, well, I could build this. Yeah. No, exactly. I mean, if it was like super complicated, I probably wouldn't have bothered, you know. Yeah. But yeah, it was just... Yeah, Rockstar called it a pragmatic protocol. Right. And I was like typical Rockstarism. Yeah. Just coins it so well. Yeah. So you

still work on the Strike now? No. No. No. In January, I stopped working for... It was actually perfect timing almost, you know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I started in like the end of December, snort. And in early January, I stopped working there. So it's been my full time things since like early January. So that's great. Yeah. Well, you're gonna... Because someone referred to as a business. A

business? A business. A moment ago? Yeah. Is that the plan? Are you gonna turn it into a business? So do you think your keeper is just a hobby? There's been so much talk. This past two days about like funding and funding and funding. I don't know. I don't want to... I probably don't want to build a company. Like an official company. Until like... Maybe it'll be

necessary at some point. Like if... Yeah. Like I do want to keep, you know, I do need funding to continue. So... It was kind of like that with that in bits. It was like... We didn't... None of us wanted it. Yeah. And quite early on, like we were approached by VCs and stuff. And then it's when we needed it. Like okay, actually people are using this.

And it's only fair that we have some dedicated full time people on it. And this is the best way to do it. Maybe it will come. Yeah. But do you think this... No, Incorporated will exist. With the clients. Do you think there are ways of making them business and monetizing them? Yeah. I mean, I think people should do it if they want to. Yeah. Like Danna's

for example, probably needs a company. Yeah. To like offer their paid plans and stuff. Get full will stressed. Yeah. That work plan. Yeah. You got emotional on stage before dinner. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like you see why? Yeah. I mean, it's really... Yeah. It's this passion project. It's... It's this little baby. So... How do you find that? Because I found that the clients... None of...

None of them in competition with each other. Everyone's got kind of different angles. Yeah. Do you think that will change this time? Because I don't know. Or do you think it will continue to be like a kind of like... I don't know. And it will incentivize to have a sense of community or other different projects. I think... I wouldn't say that all of the clients are

like... Okay. Yeah. I guess that all the clients are very like... They're not in competition directly. But they're very similar. So there might be a point where people are trying to fund their project and people start to get more competitive with their projects. I don't know. Hopefully not. Yeah. I suppose you just carry on doing what you just carry on. You're building the best thing you

can build. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Of course. That's the only approach you can do really. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's not as great. What's the... What's the next stage for Snot then? What you're interested in? Like adding or... Maybe we can add the marketplace next? I don't know. I would love it, man. I'd love it if a user could easily think, oh, I've got some stuff. I mean,

like Facebook. Facebook marketplace is really popular. Yeah. And it's one of the reasons it's popular is because it's, you know, it's the same app we're someone's using for dinner, whatever people use Facebook for. The great thing about... Like social app is like you already follow all these people. Yeah. So they're like, start selling things and... Yeah. And it's like... Yeah. That's interesting. Yeah. Because it's like

that it's almost targeted advertising. But it's you might who you follow. Yeah. And you're probably more inclined to buy from them. Because you... You maybe slightly trust them more than just a random store. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I really think that the world is crying out for that, for different platforms, for people to be able to buy itself in more of a peer-to-peer way. A lot of

people are interested in building a lot of store markets. And it's great to hear that you're thinking of implementing into Snot. Yeah. We've actually been planning it for a long time. It's just like... Why? We haven't really had time to invest in it. Yeah. Because you need the NIP, you need the standards and everything. And we just didn't have time to build up. I think it's

NIP 45. This is the NIP, which we put together. And Fitch, I've had a hand in it. Bloodstain, these are a protocol guy. So it's pretty good, it's pretty legit. But I mean, obviously it's open to... Because it's not been merged. So definitely if you see some improvements. Yeah. I need to take a look at it. Yeah. You were complaining about NIP 4, DMS. I was

complaining about the kind number. Yeah. Mainly not like the leakage of metadata, which is, you know, another problem really. Oh, did you know that's a problem? No, no, it's another problem. Yeah. Okay. Like, in general, that's a problem. Yeah. But I just mean the kind for it doesn't like... Because it will be mixed in with like regular DMs. It's like... Yeah, that's kind of messy for

clients. Yeah. So we'd like a little flag. Yeah. Like a flag or a different kind. Never put this in your social app. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A shop or whatever. Yeah. That's cool. That's something to work on. Yeah. So what you take away from the conference then, as you move in... As you come out of the conference, you have to explain. So I'm like, what have

you enjoyed most about the conference? Well, have you enjoyed it? Have you hated it? That's terrible. No, it's been great. It's like... There's just so many people here who are just... You know, you're getting that high concentration like master people. It's like online, you can't experience. You'll never experience that. Like you would hear. And people have been great. It's been great to hear people talk about

supporting demos if they offered a subscription and stuff like that. Wow. So it's been... It's very motivating, actually. I want to go back and do some coding right now. Yeah.
