Federal labor's abortion agenda 'ridiculous'

now the prime minister is being urged to provide free abortion access across the country the party does know that this is a potentially contentious issue with religious communities uh Jenna what do you think it's so interesting that this abortion is a political issue both in the United States and now in Australia for different reasons but it shouldn't be a political issue at all should it absolutely

not and I think what we're seeing here for that on you know the potential agenda for the federal labor convention is ridiculous because we all know that health care of which abortion is is an issue for the states and that's what the states have to look after so the feds have no no mind to get involved in that sort of discussion what do you think about

this Jackie should the Prime Minister even if he if he doesn't have a role there's a push on him to do it I should abortions be free well this is an issue for state and federal I would say I think the fact that Medicare is possibly involved in emotion like this I haven't seen the motion and to be honest I don't pay too much attention to

the labor conference motions I know that they come up with some pretty out there recommendations so I haven't seen the actual detail of emotion like this I mean it was a it was a former a former prime minister labor prime minister who said that abortion should be safe legal and rare and I think that's a principle that we should all make policy in line with all
