foreign [Music] as parents of a young lady who had reported rapes and abuse who'd then gone on to be murdered because a killer had been given bail and our daughter was represented by a lawyer a CPS lawyer and there were questions we had regarding the questions that they asked didn't ask didn't question in court all things that could have impacted potentially on the outcome of chain

safety so you know it is important to get answers so you can rationalize things us to really wide decisions were made and and why your daughter ended up dead we thought that once Jane had reported she would be safe and in reality she was at the highest risk she'd ever been when we contacted the local Department we didn't really get very far so we I contacted

Kia's office directly and we were quite astounded when he agreed to set up a meeting with us and that led us to building what we I describe as a friendship with Kia and he was very concerned that charges such as rape were being described as insignificant it was clearly wrong in today's society that any rapist can get off with rape at the behest of a co-op

decision and Kia helped us change that even before we had any idea of his political views they didn't matter in the least it was about doing the right thing I think the first time we realized when we knew he was going to be an MP yeah you sent him a text didn't you saying you'd make a great prime minister and it's simply because we knew what

a good money was um does he really care about people um that it mattered that things were done right for people [Music] we totally agree these crimes I've got to have bigger implications for the perpetrator and these are tremendous steps in ensuring the safety of domestic abuse victims put the public out there as well in case these perpetrators Target somebody else it really really is very

very important [Music] victims need protection from perpetrators the public needs protection from perpetrators this is immense and it's been a long time coming Bring It On foreign
