it's said that those who don't remember history are doing repeated yet people who wanted us to follow fear and science trying to memory everything that happened with a lot of us don't understand what pressure was coming from Washington i' love it if you could let us know what happened in those early days and weeks months sure a great question um look there was immense pressure I

mean on Thomas more pressure on Congressman about this uh Washington was pushing down the White House Co task force the foui task force pushing down uh CDC Department of Homeland Security was pushing stuff down uh all down on the local governments on the states and what ended up happening was you know when I said look we're not we're not going to be following this um you

start to have federal agencies working directly with local governments in Florida to to impose restrictions uh over the state what the state was saying was the right thing to do so like for example we never mandated mass in Florida uh they they did it in some of the local communities so then I came in and I banned them from being able uh to enforce Mas mandates

and I pardon everybody who our local governments imposed any penalty on for any violation of of covid protocols but yes this was driven by Washington and you know you can look and say like obviously California had lengthy lockdowns you look at like a Georgia uh Georgia open very L Donald Trump attacked Georgia for opening the economy uh you look at Florida we became the epicenter of

Freedom everyone all over the world was coming uh to vacation or to live in the state uh so you had radically different uh views or radically different approaches uh but I don't think any of the states would have done that uh without the Trump Administration pushing that to begin with and I think what what he had the opportunity to do was to say don't do that

keep it more uh like like Sweden keep the economy going take precautions on a voluntary basis but don't force that um and so I think that whole template was wrong and it it appeared to me to be wrong after basically about four to six weeks of it uh where you really couldn't see much difference and outcomes based on whether there were restrictions here or there or

not so here's the thing there needs to be accountability just because it did do a lot of damage to this country I mean there was a lot of kids in places like Chicago and Los Angeles that locked out of school for a year over a year teacher Union would be locking out and then these union members would be in the Bahamas partying and posting on Instagram

so the kids were denied an education they were still getting paid and living their best life that shows you all you need to know about some of this stuff and I remember one of the things that really exposed this to me um in a really big way was when the BLM Riot started because you remember this is like late May of 2020 they were yelling at

people in Florida for being on the beach that oh you're doing Memorial Day you're doing all this they were they were mad at me because people were playing golf and and tennis and everything like that so those Public Health bureaucrats and these imbecilic Physicians that would scream on TV on CNN they wanted you to be in your house basically just indefinitely with social distancing well then

you had the protest and the riots and the question is is well wait a minute if it's wrong for somebody to play golf or it's wrong for somebody to go to the beach or it's wrong for somebody to have a gathering in their home well it's got to be wrong to do to do these protests and the riots and what these these these Health bureaucrats said

was actually um it's wrong to protest lockdowns but somehow it's okay to do BLM protests and riots and they wanted us to believe that somehow those Gatherings were essential for public health whereas anything else that didn't fit their ideological lmus test was not that's when you know these people were full of it and there they were all a bunch of frauds this all got so politicized

so I think you need accountability because this can never happen to our country ever again and we've got to make sure and you need leadership to ensure that and that's what we'll do
