God, it God what's up pot God cast people, what's up, what's up? God cast inception. I'm currently we're doing yesterday's podcast. Nice. Yeah, for whatever reason, it like corrupted. Oh, nice. Yeah, it was a good one. Sorry, downloading yesterday's episode two and check it into the podcast. It was cosy for the yelling at me yesterday. Because I ran out of space on my main drive guys.

I get through. I installed windows on a 250 gig drive. So like my main programs that I run, like blenders and editors and stuff like that is on the map main drive take less time to pull and load. So, but in between edits and rendering between videos and stuff, I usually the junk before edit is on that main drive before I render it and move it

to the like you know the two terabyte drive. I try not to do anything with my SSD for for windows and windows is happy about that. Yeah, windows is happy when you don't use windows is hard drive. That's windows hard drive. Let's know what else is so good. Right. You may not use this. Yeah. Because I screwed a guy. You start you put one thing on

a one terabyte hard drive. You know, you put like a big game on there. Your computer slope. That's like, I'll got I can feed. I run all my games off like the secondary drive. But like. I wait once that notice when you pre-cord videos from your phone. I don't know if you've noticed, but those files tend to be so freaking large. So a lot of like

the recent videos of the farm. Those are those are the ones that got it. I was going to clip for my last week when we were setting up as the M 30 s plus pluses. It was like a 13 minute video. It would have been longer had my my phone overheated being next to the A6. Um. I was mid mid recording. I was like, and I

walked over there and I was like, Oh, this is big warning thing. I was like, uh, we shut your camera down because it phones too hot. I said, Oh, well, I wonder what it shut off. Don't worry. Don't worry. I got another fan coming and I got a screaming fucking deal on that fan. Oh, I just like, I couldn't say no. I couldn't say no. Yeah.

That that filing itself was like 14 gigabytes for whatever reason. Like it was like 14 plus minutes long. But it was shooting in 1080p. I mean. Good settings. Uh, but when I edit that. It wants to convert them to MKVs from NP for us before you edit them. Um, to cooperate with the rest of the files. And that's when it that's that's when it happens. That's

when the file like doubles. And you're like, Oh, oops. And I didn't delete some of those. So that filled up real fast. A few of those 13 minute videos. And then that's, it's, you know, 14 gigs of pop. You know, that's three. You get three of them. It's. You're getting up there to go. Whoops. Do this. That's where you're like, you know what? Let me just

get an M.2 slide that into the board. This is now a clean windows install. Yeah. And then all of this. It becomes storage. And we knew not we no longer designate the C drive as your primary download area ever again. Is. I wish it was an easy. I wish there was an easy. way to like tell it to prioritize another drive for downloading to and not

the main fucking hard drive as. If you click save as, you know, you get the option, but I know, but I know everything gives you that option. Yes. I've had, I've had issues. We're like, I've had no force pathways. And then open it up on a particular hard drive to bypass. So Jason. So. Do they? What's up with? You know, we're just catching the little talking

session. We were in. I was like, yeah, you could buy this. We'll talk about terabytes. Petabytes. Nowadays. Yeah. I got a two terabyte drive. Like, like, secondary drive. But that's that 250 gig man that I installed windows on. It just fills up quick. It fills up quick. Because I have too many. I just got to any programs. Man. That's just what I've, I've got a one

terabyte SS. D that I basically have for just windows. I've got two one terabytes spinning platters. Right. That are the high, high RPM ones. And then I've got an external. Three terabyte that is 3.0 compatible USB, which I have. It plugged into a 3.1 port. So I'm utilizing the speed. Yeah. Yeah. I use an SSD for like my main drive. And second, my mother. My mother

board has like kind of like a cool little feature. So that external hard drive. I was able to utilize because it was so much faster than a lot of the other stuff in my computer. That helps speed up memory processes. Interesting. Interesting. So I like it will put dump instead of put in dump files, a temporary dump files on the SSD or something that it where

it needs to do it. It'll do it over to my external hard drive. Right. Yeah. The one beauty I like is the. I have a secondary boot drive, which my second name boot drive is Linux. And when else just doesn't save anything of that drive. So it's okay. It just ignores it. Which is fantastic. Because I know that it'll never touch it. It's just like, what's

that? I don't know. Right. Right. I don't know what file type that is. But you go into you go into Linux and you're like, Oh, look. Hey, there's the windows hard drive. Hey, I can go save stuff over there. Right. There's always a nice one. I'm like, Oh, I could use that over. I could use that later. I go save it over my windows side. Then

you go to the file and it's like, it looks at the file and it's like. What would you. What would you like to open this file with? You have to designate it even though it's like not any different than the other file. Still a PNG. You're like, still a PNG. We need one. I have buy about the juice. You should know better. Yeah. That all my

next stuff. I run on my laptop too. Anybody runs or wants a Linux like laptop. Go for the thinkpads. The Lenovo thinkpads are like the way to go. They are actually like optimized to run Linux. They even that whenever you go to upgrade and I would call it an upgrade to Linux on a Lenovo, your splash screen actually updates and it says Lenovo, but it gives

you the Ubuntu logo at the bottom instead of a Windows logo because they know. And it's actually. I think the newest one you can actually. Pop with Linux. I like the one that I got that my wife sold computer actually too. Thinkpads are cool. Yeah. Mine's got a rise in seven in it, which is pretty freaking cool. Mine's one of those old to Shiba satellites. Those

are nice to run Linux to Shiba Lenovo's. But do you remember do you remember the satellite ones? Those are the ones that have. I had the G forest meter in there and would park the fuck and hard drive before it hit. I remember them, but I never had one. Okay. Okay. That's what I have. I mean, I don't want to test the idea. I never really

went. I never really went with laptops. My first laptop. It was like my gaming laptop that I have like over here. The Nitro, the Acer Nitro. That was like my first like full laptop. I was never really a laptop person. But I needed one at that. I was like, I need the laptop. I got too much stuff to do. And I'm not on a long time.

Which is cool. I like it. And I'm such a hardcore bit. Coiner. I've even got a shot. 256 encryption on the whole hard drive. Oh. My, my legs one has. I have a crypts on the drives, the, in the bias. I enjoy running legs because you can encrypt like everything. Well, I had. A friend of mine. Who is a back end. A lot of it. Pre

You cannot. You're not admin. You're not admin. And you can't. Uh, change your, uh, your partition or change your, your boot. Change in the league. So you're kind of like. So, uh, yeah.

But original flavors of a bunch of just regular Ubuntu work. Because you know, you know, you're not. You do not need to. Uh, to disable. Secure. That's the thing. If you have to disable. Secure. To install and go. Ruege. Monjaro. Um, Cali. I would love to run Cali on my laptop. But I can't. Because it requires you to disable security. Yep. Yeah. I was that, that

was a Lenovo issue. Great for secure. They're great for security. Oh my god. Yeah. Until it works itself on. It's known for no reason. Yeah. And then you need special tooling in order to. Knowing that. So I acquired. Mind through like a third party selling, right? And it was used to be. I'm assuming of schools or something. Um, so when you buy third party Lenovo's majority

of time, those biomes are already locked. Because of the schools. I T. Deport. All the bios to those. And they don't give you that information. So. In the put the Lenovo laptop for really cheap and like really, really good deal. But. Fios is locked. And I just can't. And you can't get past that. You can short it. But if you short it wrong, you lose the

laptop. So. I know. I saw that. I was like, Oh, wow. Or they make a tool or they make a tool that shorts it for you. I was like, Oh my. No. So if you ever want to have and what a good Lenovo Ubuntu laptop. Buy it. Don't buy secondary. Don't trust. Don't trust somebody else's. Like messing with. Especially they had a bunch of or linux

on it before and because it gives you the option to encrypt. When you install linux. That's when it happens. Sit on, don't it? It's gonna be nice. Oh, yeah, dude. We're gonna probably suck those vents that you put into those windows and the facility. We'll have that much airflow. Yeah, I want to try it all. Like being bowed in. Fun facts. one. I believe that it was just because the one power supply popped. It had to have just hurt that card in the process of it. Yeah. Didn't no matter what board it was, didn't matter if it's by itself. It acted the same no matter what. Even on a stock bios. It was okay for longer periods of time on a stock bios, but it definitely what happened.

And when it happened, it was consistent and just kept happening. You had to like almost had to like take the card out and like, let it cool down. And like, just do nothing for a while. Then you plug it in and then it was working okay for a little bit. And then it would just go like, man, man, I'm just like, I have to be hurt.

And it's just at some point. It's just getting so hot that it's just something's gotta be. Not okay. Right. There's your 3090 rig get one gig of hash. No. Even if I get it, even if I gave it like the coolest attempts, it gets close. Yeah. It's very close. When it. It's close. When it's cool. When it gets a little warm, it starts to downclock. But

if I gave it the, but if it's got the best air tap coming in. It gets 900 and like 68 mega hash. I mean, it's close to a full gig of hash. I mean, I'm sure if I was able to keep it nice and cool, I could probably. Maybe even 30 mega ashes at this current moment in time. I've seen it almost touched. Yeah. Seeing it

almost touched 900 like since I've been able to look at it. And I'm sure. Yeah. And probably. I've seen it. Well, during the while it was, you know, still like winter. Yeah. Winter mode. That thing was sitting at nine. Yeah. It was. It was like 960 seven to like nine. I've seen it like spike momentarily up to about 985 ish. Right. And then came back down.

It settles right around 967. But I'm sure if I were to like kind of play around with it. I just kind of gave everything like a basic universal overclock. This way I knew everything was stable on it. Yeah. Sometimes I just. I know I could see a lot of the meeting 120 mega ashes right now. Only one of them really hits that consecutively all the time.

And the other ones fluctuate. But I did notice that the other day they were like all hitting around 120 and I was like. Damn. Yeah. Yeah. When they all do this shit. Get there my friend. Yeah. But they just want to. They want to stay cool. They're like. We want to be. It hasn't been too bad. They're passable days. It's been. It's been really. It's been

really humid here in past few days. But not as like. It's actually hot. But it's been thick. The air is been thick outside. You. Moisture is going to. It's going to be less of an effect on the air. 4% humidity. According to him. Looking at it right now. 44% so I mean. That's fine. That's perfect humidity. You're not going to. I'll. Shock anything. My well. House

is 60 high 60s. Almost 70. The problem with the higher humidity count is that you're. You're going to be introducing the potential of flash rusting on stuff. Yeah. And dirt sticking to fucking. Everything. The slightest little grain you will have dirt. A dust floating through there. You itch yourself while walking in front of the rig. And it will stick to it. That is my only. Thing

that I'm watching very closely right now. Yeah. The moisture is a lot. It's not. I've never seen this. What is this my first time mining with it during this time of the season. So I'm about to start moving into. No rainy season. Right. Let's see what starts in a lot of rain a lot. So it's not going to be as hot all the time. But it's

going to be sticky. Which is okay. It'll be great for the mind because everything will be just cooling. And then with the second fan in there. Oh my god, there'll be so much air flow. So. We need to make sure that that inner door is nice. We're going to have a nice and sealed. It's you'll laugh. But it's going to try to pull whatever you did.

Right into the fan. It will have an awesome. Yeah. Fun fact. Just with the two fans that I have in my windows. As soon as I shut my bedroom door and let go of the handle. You feel the door. I feel the door. Pull forward into the latch immediately. Right. And then I put I put blue painters tape around the joint like you were doing. And

as soon as I put it on the inside here, you just feel the tape just get suction cup. Great to the door. It's like, oh, wow. You're like that. Yeah. But there's a reason why I could sit there and pull a raindrop in 10 feet. You know, like the big doors that you should cover, like the fuse panels, everything. Right at the either I want to

put it one something like that at the end of the polarity, you know, where have we had the airflow. So it bounces off of that and just kind of flows it away. Flings it towards the door. Or you've got to figure out a way to start like. Being able to move air through. And then you can just be able to move the rigs. Because right now

that's I think that's their biggest problem. So here's not moving through them. It's moving out. But it's not moving through them. You know, I mean, the for moving around and just like bouncing off a walls and, you know, being able just to wake it out of the building. That's the key that we're trying to get right now is getting that super hot air out. Yeah, but

we've got to get into where we've got to get it to a point where it's really pulling air from. And once we get past that point, then we can start optimizing in there, putting in that installation that really thin installation board. And organize everything on the shelves, cut the outputs of those and actually start like walling it in. This way it has only one choice, but

to go that way. And make make hot and cold aisles. Where are we going to do that? What are the the tolls where I thought about just minimizing the space a little bit right now, little spot. Anyway, it's just it's so far back over. Well, I mean, we could even sit there and hear me out on this side. Yeah, put a little wall push wall. Put

all. Put wall it out. And then. Have it where the rigs are just sitting in the wall opens and we just build it right up at a ceiling and then we'll have designated hot and cold aisle. We can sit there and just line the rack up in the row and do it that way. It'll help consolidate some space. Then. Whenever it comes to if we want

it. Because like I don't know how much we're going to do. I know it's like, well, I don't want to do too much because as soon as we get the other section, we're going to be opening that up and it's going to be pulling here into that area too. So then it's like, oh, well. Now we did before is just going to get undone. So I

don't know. Well, plus the basics are going to move that direction once that's open because it makes more sense to be that way. Because they'll all be on at that point easily. So. Front area for GPUs back area for the a six right, but then we can as we push like a like a second shelf in that front section, then we can like open it up.

Make a little hot, you know, kind of put a hot hot corridor in between the two racks. Maybe still even going to be. What's your closer money. Right. Yeah. Like it's. Oh, yeah. Designated 30 amp 220 plug for your computer at all times. I know. That's ridiculous. It's like more is law is going to hit at some point in time. Because people are like, I don't

have available power for this. Yeah. So they're going to have so many of these cards in stock for so long because people aren't going to want to do that. They're going to know. Why would I do that. I don't have the money to pay for a dedicated 220 outlet plug. I got a great. I don't even need to move my breaker box. Now I got to

upgrade my breaker box to no, it's not worth it. Well, you're you're. Your computer would be the designated. Well, you can get us. You can get an EVGA 1600 watt. That runs on 110. Well, if she goes the car, saying goes the car to itself is going to. This is what I said, six. It's a 1600 watt power supply. Right. So. But that that one power

supply has a potential of yanking the full wattage of a 20 amp circuit. So whatever room you're putting. You might not even be able to turn the light on while you're sitting there and doing high compute stuff. Anything else. Pretty good streaming. Getting it from multiple monitors. Good luck. Good luck. I am. Get a big up monitor and you're not going to be able to do

this big one. It was quite a bit of power. You'll just see an extension cord come out for the next room. Monitor extension cord equipped retractable extension cord 25 feet. Yeah, man. It's crazy. like if you know the IP address, you can just add it. But I'm not sure if you can see it. But if you don't know the IP addresses, you can just search through a range of IPs and specify. farms or redoing their hard way. So get more fishing. Yep. And you in the farms that don't allocate funds for upgrading are the ones that get muscled out over time because over time they become inefficient. And the inefficiency forces them to be self. And when it forces them to be sellers, the most awesome thing is they tend to sell the people who are more efficient. No

love the cycle. It's amazing. There's people that are still buying the old like S7s and stuff. Most things are like for what I'm looking at. Those are horrible. Horrible. They're so outdated. Even the staple of the S9 is kind of teetering on the S9. It is definitely kind of on that edge of being classified as horrible. And that had the best run out of all the

asic generation so far. Abrams. They don't really. Okay, you're you're you're you're looking at a free free capital market. So if there is demand high enough demand for any such product, they'll be manufacturing for it. Period. Doesn't matter what what product you're looking at. If you've got enough people saying I want this now. Somebody's going to get a lot of money. They're going to come to

market. And as far as people sit there and say centralization. No, unless there was only one manufacturer for those said a six. No, because that would almost be saying that, oh, if you're a GPU minor, aren't GPU centralized. There's only two manufacturers that to two flavors of GPUs. AMD. They tell us possibly going to you know. Still now you got for you. Maybe they started. They

they they might not even be coming to market with it now. So but right now, there's really only two two flavors. Is that not considered centralization to. It's it depends on on how you want to look at it. The argument on there. So as far as Bitcoin mining itself, the decentralization side of it is the fact that anybody can participate. I've got a grid seed minor

on the other side of my monitor on on my right here. It's running Linux software. It's decentralized because I can participate. That's what makes it decentralized is I don't need permission and anybody at home can run an ASIC. Okay. Now you now there's people who have the argument of, oh, what if X asic manufacturer wanted to put a stop to your mining. Well, look at Nvidia.

Did they not do that too. I've never seen and I have never seen an asic manufacturer. Because it is not in their best interest to mess with the asics because that would be the death of their company. But here you got GPU manufacturer that try to do that. Should I let that sit sink in, you know, everything that people wanted to complain about about the asics

happened with the GPUs. I'm not dogging on GPU mining. You know, you're going to see things go through cycles learning curves and stuff. But. The call Bitcoin mining centralized that's you know, because it's a global participation. There's no way and it proved with China shutting down the mind. So it's a global participation mining that you only saw what was that less than a third of the

network it wiped. For what? A couple of months. And then you had the redistribution of the hash rate. That sounds like a robust. A system that works. There was no hiccups or anything.
