My name is Alice Anna Forden. I'm the owner and director of Lotus Counseling Center here in Miami. We see people who are struggling with life stage development, anxiety, depression, undiagnosed ADD. Many, many people are struggling with relationship issues, both with themselves, their partners, wives, siblings, but in looking at the relationship issues, we find that they're underlying things. I always say to our team, you know, I

could be the bestseggle therapist in the world, but if somebody has an underlying brain issue, we need to look at the whole person and understand, okay, but what else is contributing? It's not always just a mental wellness issue. It's not always just a mood disorder, and so it's critical to have a holistic, integrative approach to understand really what is causing a mood disorder or anxiety or

lack of mental wellness. Try to everybody take a specs scan, I would do it, because I think it's such an amazing technology to really help us understand how the brain is functioning. There's a direct correlation between what's going on in the brain and all of our other functions. I'm going to have additional information that's going to help me clarify how to really give this person the

best treatment so that their outcome is what we want it to be. From older people who are having memory trouble, to younger, athletes who are having brain injuries, changes not always easy, and we need a team of people to support us. The aiming clinics are really open to collaborative care. They're triaging with me or my team about, okay, well, this is what's going on. I can't

tell you how many times in the past I have referred to another psychiatrist is hard to get them to return my phone calls. They don't really want to be bothered to talk about a patient, and that's not been my experience of the aiming clinics at all. It's been very proactive, very enthusiastic about wanting to involve our clinicians, our psychotherapists, along with the doctors here at the

aiming clinic, so that we can give our patients the best care possible. Well, I think sometimes people think, oh, I am a clinic assistant brain scan, and it has to just be that. And it's really not just that. They have a whole team of patient care coordinators, different experts that look at all different levels of care. I think that's really the most important thing to be

able to do is to help me, whether it's a brain scan or it's the whole array of offerings. I know that it's going to ensure that my care and the care of my patients is going to be top notch and help them have a better quality of life.
