New South Wales mid-north Coast detectives recently handed a brief of evidence to the director of public prosecution Dave recommended his foster mother be charged with covering up his death based on a theory that William died in an accidental fall before his body was moved they do not believe she was responsible for his death his foster mother has released a statement through her lawyer calling for any

evidence against her to be made public she urged the director of public prosecutions to expeditiously determine whether charges are to be laid she called for disclosure of the evidence which police suggest forms the basis of any criminal proceedings and stressed that she has always and maintains she has nothing to do with William's Disappearance in 2016 police had ruled out William's foster parents as specs but that

all changed in 2021 after the strike force came under new leadership and detectives turned their attention back to those closest to the little boy prosecutors will now decide if the police case against the Foster mother has any Merit if no charges are laid the case will be referred back to the coroner Leah Harris ABC News Sydney
